    Wanted B/Ws 1 1/2" carriage bolts

Anyone know of any UK suppliers for the longer bolt, (4310-01123-24B) that secures the backbox to the pivot hinge? Tried the usual suppliers in the UK, can't see any, plenty overseas. Need 3, anyone got any in their spares crap? been through mine and drawn a blank, Cheers, Alan

    Williams cherry switch info

I need to replace the armature on switch 62, the first switch the ball hits on launch, on my FT. When I got the machine it was badly set up, so much so the ball would hang up on it.After much fiddling and butchering I got it working better but it can interfere with the flow as it rounds the top...

    Fuses

Need a 3/8A fast blow fuse for the DMD board. Only place I can find is Pinparts and Andy's away. Any one know of a supplier? Cheers, Alan

    TIG welding

Need to repair a couple of ramps for a STTNG. They are the wire forms, 12-7098 & 12-7097 that feed into the return lanes, a couple of welds have given up the ghost where the ball drops to the inlane. They seem pretty unobtainium, but unless someone has them kicking around in their parts pile...

    WPC-95 scrambled DMD

Trying to get machines sorted for NERG. MM display has gone weird, hoping it was going to be a simple case of reseating ribbon cables. Did this and everything just went blank. Tried again and all looked good, fired up a game, no flippers. Switched off, reseated, and I’m back to where I started...

    Motor testing

Flintstones motor not working play or test. If I hook it up to a 9v battery it should show some signs of life? I have and it doesn’t, am I missing anything before I source another? Cheers, Alan

    Fishy finished

OK not @Ant-H quality, I don’t have the tools, skills or patience, but I’m happy with it. Then this morning got a phone call asking if I wanted this, Happy days, Alan.

    Matt black finish

As I inch forward to magic smoke time on my Fishy refurb thoughts turn to the fishing reel handle. Was going to get it chromed until perusing Pinside looking at other FT shops I spotted one finished in matt black which I preferred. Anyone finished parts in this? Don’t think paint would be...

Playfield swap. How do YOU do it?

FT cab sorted, time to move onto the playfield. Been swotting up, threads here & pinside plus vids. Uncertain how to approach this task, whether to strip everything off the old PF, taking loads of pics, cleaning up/replacing bits then transferring over. Did notice on one of @Pick Holder threads...

    Which connector?

Stripped out FT cab for decaling and came across this bodge from the transformer. Wires have been soldered and insulation taped where there should be a connector. Can’t see any references to which connector is required. Anyone know and where from? Cheers Alan

Bee lure switch cover Fish Tales

Was going to post this in Technical Qs but as I don’t have the skills it wouldn’t have helped me. Decided to tart up Fishy but there’s an unobtainable, unless anyone knows better, part, the BLSC for the reel entry switch. Looking on Pinside someone made their own...

How far back can you search on here?

Asking as I was thinking of re decaling my FT. As it would be a first for me thought I’d look back at old shop logs in particular @Ant-H ’s T2 resto whose work I think is second to none. Found the relevant thread but it seems I can only go back to post #241 , obviously the cab work was in the...

    LOTR no sound

Plunger was a bit sticky on LOTR so I raised PF and cleaned it up, replaced PF. Turned it on, no sound, absolutely nothing. First thought was connectors, quick look and there aren’t any connectors to come adrift, everything’s in the backbox. Bought it from PH around ‘94 and I know this sounds...

    Pinball Center. MM drawbridge.

Rivet’s dropped out of my MM drawbridge. Pinball Center have replacements in stock, are there any problems ordering from them nowadays? Alternatively I could re rivet the original. Anyone have any ideas what size and kit I’d need to do this? Thanks, Alan.

    Posh Shed connectivity/wifi

Shed’s up. I’m hopeless at computer stuff and the wifi from the house is a bit stuttery in the garden. Reading up it seems the answer was an ethernet cable which I’ve had buried alongside the armoured mains cable. I know this gets plugged into the house router, but what goes on the other end...

    Video/mame? cab swap for pinball

I supplied a guy with a holiday let a Flintstones. When it’s gone wrong he’s brought it to me or I’ve gone out to it. Thing is it’s bloody miles away in the middle of nowhere. Just got a call from him asking if he can bring it round but until I get my posh shed I haven’t got the space. I’ve told...

    Posh Sheds

Fed up of having pins stuck in the garage, been too cold in there to play them so decided to go down the home office type route. Had a browse, the problem is choice, there’s too much. Anyone had any dealings with companies they’re happy with? Good service, no messing about. Any pointers...

    Straightening side rails

Is it feasible? Left rail got bent when John Higgins’ Hulk toppled over in the back of a van for the Scottish Open a decade or so back. Anyone successfully removed them without damage & straightened them up? Was thinking of using a hair dryer or heat gun to soften up the adhesive tape, just...
