Today I worked on......

Been working on this for a few weeks now, can't find a photo of the before state but it was very rough, a lot of filing and sanding with some delamination which was a bugger to treat.

Finally installed my mirrored backglass from CPR which has been stowed away since Oct 2020.

The main cabinet and playfield swap will have to wait until after the shows. Will reassemble over the weekend give it a test before NERG.

My next project (TAF) will need new cabinet sliders on the rear as the ones it has are completely destroyed.

So cracked out the table saw this morning and made up another set. And as it was all set up and I had some timber left and knocked up a few more for future restores.

Finished my ACDC speaker panel upgrade with decent 5in speakers and some of my sound to light speaker lights.
Look well cool when they in action.

So I made a pair of rotisseries from joist off cuts, some angle that has been in the garage for over 20 years (knew it would come in handy) and some cheap lazy susans.
Just need to add some pins to lock in place and will screw a crossmember in place once a playfield is locked in.

Took about 20 mins to make them and at the right height for me to work on.

So after receiving a new CPR playfield for FT I decided that I would fit a playfield protector on BK, playfield is in really good condition but with the usual cupped inserts being the only downside. Not spending my hard earned cash on new replica playfields again if I can help it!

Plays much better now with no issues, just need to make it a bit steeper as making the ramps much easier and I have to shim up the ramps yet.
£100 and 30 mins to do so can’t complain.

No more wobbling balls in those cupped inserts

Luckily a pretty solid cab and backbox.
Putting it on the sawhorses by myself was enough work for today
