UKPinfest 2022 - August 26th, 27th & 28th

That Attack From Mars pictured above is a thing of beauty. Fabulous topper too. Who’s the owner? Best in show contender if that’s still a prize given out. Recall Safe Cracker won couple years back.

Also loving these new huge colour DMD screens present on many of the 90s era machines this year. Animations look amazing.
It’s mine, it is a stunning machine but I’d rather best in show went to a refurbed pin that’s had a lot of time and effort spent on it…AFM LE is factory standard remake no extras all I did was bring it!

Yeah, fair play. I hadn’t realised all those little touches of flair were out of the box as standard. Stunning. You’re right the restored pins are lovely to see and rightly deserve plaudits for the hard work and talent behind them.

VIP is 150

There was the 150 plus all the pin donators and staff last night.

This year is the busiest ever. The event is advertised as 400 tickets only. There is around 380 so far today but should be 400 as some haven't turned up yet. And again, there is the pin donators and staff.

I know it's busy but it's what I need to cover the costs of the event.

I'm damned if I do and I'm damned if I don't.

Not sure who owns the Twilight Zone, but that machine looks amazing. I am used to seeing abused, broken, and very dimly lit examples ha!

This one looks beautiful.

First time coming to pinfest and being able to play so many great games. My list of games I want to buy has changed vastly in the last 24 hours! 😂

Just had a quick walk around at 1:50pm and there’s 11 machines free to play.

It’s always going to be busy first thing in the morning as people arrive. They’re eager to play. Now it’s lunch time and people are in and out, eating, drinking and socialising.

Anyone lost this key?
Looks like a padlock key.
Found in main room.
Come find me

Thanks mate, the T2 is mine. So far it’s held up well 🤔😬
I managed to play it a couple times today, stunning and truly a work of art when it comes to restorations.

The only problem your going to have is removing all those finger prints and the dribble from everyone drooling over it 😂

It’s not just absolutely stunning, it plays tremendously
It brought back memories of when I first played one back in 91, in my local cafe, that was fresh out the box

Those pops are a bit lively though, I had a ball going bezerk up there for at least 90 seconds! 🤣

One of the great things about PinFest for me, your average punter, is that you get to play stunning examples of some of the lesser talked about machines even of the more recent era.

I’ve fallen in love with the X-Men here this year, which I’ve been informed is @CHRIS B PINBALLS ’s. Loads of action on the table and chucks multiple multi-balls at you for fun.

I’ve even managed to delude my good lady into thinking I’m some form of pinball player as I’ve even managed to get my name up in lights each time we’ve played it. Don’t tell her it’s because most of the machines have had the high-scores reset for PinFest weekend and all the real players are busy with the comps, lol!

Anyway, having a blast, thanks again to all the machine owners for letting us paupers get some games in on them.

Excuse the finger in the pics, I’m rarely sober this time of night, ha! ha!

Already looking forward to next year!

I really enjoyed my two days! Great to meet so many of you and chat pinball.

Hats off to Phil and the team for a great event, and thank you to all of those that donate your machines.

So many great games played and many I would love!

I thought exactly the same about X-Men today. Never played it before and didn’t think I’d like it, but really enjoyed.

Our main comp (along with the rest of the event) has been really popular this year. Massive thanks to everyone that's come and participated. Thanks to Phil this comp now also has a minimum £1000 first prize.

Qualifying continues this morning until midday. Come and have a go and see how well you can do. £10 gets you in with one ticket of three games. £20 will give you four tickets of three games.

Last night I learnt, never be put off by theme
I’ve been walking past wwf royal rumble all weekend, as the wrestling theme does absolutely nothing for me, and I assumed the game would be a bit pants
but pressed start on it last night, as other games were busy
and couldn’t get off the thing ! Instantly hooked

also superhoop is a fun game, great machine and there for 5k, it’s ahead and shoulders above the stern nba game
