Today I received my 14.9" LTA149B780F 1280X390 LCD Screen and controller board so I best start my plans for my next mame cab.
I wonder why ColourDMD don’t use these type of displays as they perfect size and cheap as chips

I’m sure the resolution is not the issue Neil, regardless of the Rez any of the modes needed (I prefer Dots XL) this panel is more than capable enough to produce modes well above the current output of the graphics ported from DMD pins
I have seen this display in a few MAME cabs now streaming incredible looking animated Marquees and menus.
What I do know is the displays ColourDMD use are half the price of this one.
At £80 this display is approx double the price of the cheaper yet higher Rez laptop ones.
So maybe just a price issue which is a shame
Lol snap! mine was completely missing just ordered a bit approx size and cut bits out to suit and drill etc, think it was about 6 quid

Parcel shelves in Novas/Escorts/Saxos/Clio’s all over the world are rejoicing that their now forgotten burdens could be reused
Every car speaker I could find are 4 ohm but SI manual say's it required 8 ohms ,just made it harder to locate !!☺
