You need to get something to mount that board on in the game. I initially used Stick pad style board stickers but they don't work for long so Paul 3D printed me a mount that I use with magnet tape.

Also the pinouts are very important and you can easily blow the Spike 2 CPU board if you aren't careful or the monitor, or worse both.

Take the spike 2 display cable of the game and undo the ground lead (but remember you do need to put that back. It just makes it easier to install.

The cable that came with the board goes into the spike board but one pin along:

Then the cable goes to the Geek's board like this and You then put the Spike 2 display connector like this.

Then the key thing is a decent quality HDMI cable out the _TOP_ of the game backbox. Don't take it out the bottom as you'll get aload of interference on it (maybe not initially but it'll come).

Cheers Neil. We did the install it on Thursday night and I'm delighted with the result. When I say 'we' I mean that Spencer did it whilst I drank beer.

You're spot-on about those offset pins too, very hard to notice particularly with dim light and my poor eyesight.

I absolutely loved Ted.

I was almost convinced that he looked at the camera.

Maybe I'm reading too much into it but when I called him a parrot I think he gave me a funny look. He had a sort of surprised/offended look in his eye as if to say, "Fu(£ off mate, I'm a budgie".

Please send him my apologies, the whole 'pirate' thing got the better of me.
 
Another good episode mate. Look forward to these chinwags every week now. Did you say you have a few powder coating videos and pinball review videos coming?

Thanks mate, very kind of you.

Yes indeed. We spend a day at the powder coaters and recorded the whole process of rusty legs to finished product. On the machine front we have TOM which has been recorded and Ghostbusters which I haven't done yet.

As soon as we see new machines we'll review them so hopefully a few trips planned soon to capture some new footage.

I loved the latest episode! I started with virtual pins and ran leagues on Reddit for Pinball FX3. Zen the game developers did an interview/feature on me ,then my life took a turn so I had to stop 🥴 https://zenstudios.com/news/community-heroes-david_vi-the-reddit-league-mastermind/

Also I absolutely love budgies so seeing Ted made my day, Maybe my week?

Sorry Kris by pinball reviews I ment actually pin balls :D I know you shot blasted one but thought I heard somewhere you where going to review a couple of brands?

The owner of a lake here in Wales used to drive around on his quad bike with a proper parrot on his shoulder, think he was a bit of a pirate as he got put behind bars and the place was put up for sale😂

Pinball fx3 has a Family Guy table mate, it’s not based on the Stern one but it’s Family Guy themed 👍

Great show as always! I didn't realise Brad was @Itch on the forum😀 - great guy and awesome player.
I also started out playing Visual pinball/arcade/FX (with no nudge on the vp cab I used to have until not long before got rid) but unfortunately I'm still an average on real pins.
I was pretty good on TOM when I finally got to play a real machine at Domino; one of my fave games on Visual Pinball (didn't feel as good on pinball fx for some reason - certainly looks washed out and bland on there to me)
 
Since watching the last episode I cant stop telling my machines 'you'll get sold!' when I have a couple of ****ty games 🤣
