Pretty sure one of the guys sticking up for him on facebook came on here and called everyone paedophiles for moaning about his prices. Good company to keep...
 
To be libelous, you have to have a statement of defamation. Given the statements largely (exclusively) relate to a well documented (infamous) machine which was bought from the "prosecutor", and had demonstrable issues with said machine, I think it would be a hard press to seek a libel case based on defamation of character in this instance. One could argue that this defamation is purely conjecture (i.e. the machine was fooked, it was bought from AB and fooked - but was not truly fooked when sold...) - however, presented with the facts, lets assume "Honest Opinion" as grounds for such statements (i.e given the facts presented, would an honest person have drawn the same conclusions) - a solid defence for defamation, in the abscence of "Truth".

It's just the gift that keeps giving.

You get a reputation from your actions, no one bats an eye at a minty restoration price from the pros, because A) They either do them for a customer that says, please do up my W?D and pay the price to do so, or B) they speculatively do it on a title worth doing it to. People bat eyelids where you are taking a turd, throw glitter and diamonds at it and put a price tag on it that would make Michael Jackson think twice before buying

Andy - you're probably reading this so just wanted to point something out.

People who telegraph some aggressive action, like punch your face in, sue you for defamation, or whatever.. generally are all talk. If someone's going to do something, they just do it. The element of surprise and all that.

I know you like to work on how to fake normal human emotions and responses so thought that might come in handy. You know, for the next time you try to intimidate my mate.

It is a shame as it looked a decent one. I don't buy all the huo only ****e but considering one sat on here for a year at £1500. I'm sure you'll get 2k for a really nice unmolested example.
I'm sure it will keep Backhouse warm during the winter over the next 10 years till pinflation catches up with that price.

You have a good point however I believe that in 1937 old Adolf Hitler made a few threats - that didn’t end well did it lol
