So why say its been hit with new decals in the past couple years or whatever? That's ok then?

The pins not a dog, like I said it was originally being serviced by Keith who was very decent, and the boards and pf are pretty good.

I just don't see the need to lie, that's all. I couldn't give a monkeys if someone flips a pin, I really don't care about that.

Truth be told I was sold this for 1450 needing a damn good clean and general minor repairs and a new trunk. I didn't want it as im indifferent to the machine personally (missus would of liked it i think though), but seeing as these nice deals rarely come my way I did the deal paid the guy and someone I know who's also on this group took it straight off my hands and I got a very nice drink off it.

That person got to see it first hand way before I took a penny off him, I have no problem with people moving the odd machine at a markup if they got it cheap or whatever, but just don't like the dishonesty is all.

Woah, sorry dude - sounds like you're a bit peeved over the whole thing.

Agree about the lying thing - but compared to some of the sh*t we've seen people pulling on eBay of late it's probably at the milder end of the scale. I'm not saying it's right of course, and it's great that you've made people aware that he's not being entirely honest.

I'm not annoyed about it, actually thought it was funny when I first read it.

Just didn't want someone bidding on a pin thinking it was basically a full restore, bit moody that. It's a decent TOM though, if the metal bits get tidied up will come up nice.

This is one of the reasons I like to keep a 'shop log' post of my machines on here. If and when I ever sell them, I can point any prospective buyers to have a look at the thread. That way they can read every post, and get an idea of the level of effort that went into the machine and what parts were renewed etc.

Steve, your shop logs show the quality of your work so I expect the next time you sell anything, that a member of this forum to buy it pronto. If I had the money, I wouldn't hesitate to buy any of your collection as they are top titles in the finest condition.

The issue I take with that TOM is that it might be a good machine but the ad is trying to inflate the price by lying about it being in someones collection and restored. Some people will trust a home owned machine and pay more because they hope it will result in less future issues.
It does highlight again that there are many different interpretations to shopped so it is far better to just buy of the forum.

Think it's something like that.

I've not seen the Time Machine listed again recently so i'm assuming some unsuspecting soul paid over the odds for that one, although there's still time for it to turn up. They seem to only list a single machine at a time of late.

THIS HAS A FEW SCRATCHES AND MARKS ON THE CABINST BUT JUST GENERAL WARE AND TEAR.
I HAVE TO STATE THE PLAYFIELD IS IN FANTASTIC CONDITION AND HAS HAD VERY LITTLE USE.
THE OTHER THING I HAVE TO STATE THERE IS ONE PROBLEM WITH THIS AND THAT IS THE MONITOR DOES NOT WORK I DONT KNOW WHY OR HOW TO FIX IT, IT WORKED ONE DAY AND NOT THE NEXT, I WOULDNT KNOW WHERE TO START TRYING TO FIX IT!!

Is someone describing a different machine, or is it just me??

It's had a few too many and appears to be leg-less too.... ;)

Interestingly he doesn't mention if it comes with legs. Isn't the monitor a kinda important part on a Pinball 2000 machine?

Be interesting to see what it goes for.

Too much i bet....

Whilst he says that it fires up, obviously without a monitor its difficult to tell if there's any other issues... convenient...

Anyhow, Slap an LCD in there with a converter board and bolt it in and it should be fine :)

Yeah, was kinda thinking the same.

If the monitor is actually there and the computer that controls the lot hasn't walked then at £500 it might be a safe enough bet. As Paul said I expect it'll go for far more though.

Well it got pulled with 0 bids so my guess is it was advertised elsewhere and he's taken the money and ran.

No idea what those holes are in the side of the cab? Pf looks in decent shape although the pics are quite blurry, no obvious fish insert wear or raised/sunken inserts in the map. Ted's eyes aren't working as they should be open in all of those pics, probably broken plungers. Cab art is faded as well and why you'd put up a pic that shows "press enter for test report" and then say everything is working perfectly is beyond me (Ted eyes mean it obviously isn't working perfectly). Also no mention of the shaker motor in the description which is one of the games main toys so I'd be wanting to check that out as well.

The most interesting thing about that sale is that the seller is away until the 26th and the auction ends on the 24th....how are you supposed to get your questions answered or go and view it? Hmmmmmmm
