I'd be inclined to say that Carl is around the right mark with that? I was thinking between £700-£1000 myself, probably towards the lower end because of what Grizz mentioned.

I doubt you'd get much more than £1k for any Data East table? Which is why the guy asking £2k+ for a DE:SW on eBay is really really hopeful.

Edit: I should perhaps add that i've played a few DE tables now and I own an R&B. Have to say i'm actually a fan of them. Our R&B gets a lot of use from both me, the wife and the grandkids. If I had space I'd certainly be interested in a JP, SW or a TFFC.

I wouldn't want to pay much more than 700 though I'm sure it will go higher  Terrible pics , no topper either though thats not unusual, cant tell if DMD is ok, assume the usual dirt and tired rubbers at minimum.

I can think of several DE tables that easily command 1K these days............GNR, JP and Tommy probably, Star Wars

What do you think its current value is?

Missing the topper and the unobtainium door knocker and with only blurry far away pics to go on (hard to tell if the display is ok, god knows how the pf is) I wouldn't be going over £600 - £700 if I was buying blind. If you go see it and can better assess the condition then up from there but still no more than £850 to £900 even if the rest of its good IMO.

Dr Who on for £999

Cab fade and no pf pics, definitely one to go and see. Could be a good deal but could be hiding all sorts of trouble.....why not post at least 1 pf pic instead of 2 of the repro manual and one of the sticker on the back?

Oh god ...dont tempt me....not that far from me.

I just have to keep reciting ....room for 8, you have 12, room for 8, you have 12

I would buy it but its too far for a viewing and going in blind on this with that type of listing is risky.

I asked the seller a couple of questions and they were dodged.

Again?

They might find it easier to sell if they re-located it somewhere closer to where they actually are so prospective buyers can ask questions or go to view.

It seems the same person now has another table up for sale, which by an amazing coincidence also keeps getting relisted due to the buyer not being able to collect. And yet again the machine is in Cornwall but they're in London.

yup, third time that I know of. This and his roadshow.

This may have been on more than that.

Is strange for it to be left in the far reaches of no-where. prob easier to avoid a viewing that way?

And easier to avoid answering difficult questions i'd guess. Either one of two things have happened:

1) He's shilled the hell out of it and ended up getting lumbered with his own highest bid winning
2) He's sold it but when they've come to collect they've seen the shocking state of it and legged it

The bit about not being able to find the keys is probably the thing that would worry me most - until you can get it opened up then how do you even know what state the boards are in (or if they even are present). They seem to suggest that it's in a semi-working state by saying about bulbs being out, but it's not made clear and assuming that it's working on that alone would be a risky move (in my view) to say the least.

It looks very much like shilling then - as deathrow points out it's been won twice previously and each time has gone for a higher amount.

He's obviously angling for more money, which I guess explains why he's so at pains to point out that in MINT condition it's worth > £3000.

Of course it could well cost you that to get it into mint condition, and that's assuming you can repair or source the required parts.

I would certainly worry about the state of the boards if it's been in storage sufficiently long enough for the nickel-steel balls to go rusty and there is no key to easilty open it and have a look. I can also imagine that drilling a lock on a coin-door is not too difficult but I'd hate to try the lock on the backbox. Also, if the keys are missing how are you going to fold down the back box to move it from Cornwall?

I want an A13 too but I'll pass.

Yep - not even drilling. Big flathead screwdriver and hammer, and coin door open in seconds .....a method I have horrified Will with on several occasions when he has had a keyless game :D

Backbox ones on 90s WPC/DE games can be simply unscrewed with security bit.

Trained in more than military manoeuvres - just send for The GrizZ when you are keyless ;)

That's our friend in Hove. has a black hole as well I think on the bay. Anyone seen the I500 for £1595. on iPad so harder to link. Good game, worth the money?
