Cheers dude it's a super fun thing to drive and it's been incredible opening up doors to some really cool
Things , me and @Sgt GrizZ did an 80's party for Costa coffee and there was the A team van and loads of cool stuff and the car was at the ready player one premier me and @Matt Adams went up met Spielberg was insane .. my son's favourite band and one of mine is royal
Blood lead singer came round at Xmas and had a sit in it , people have such ownership of the movie they loose their minds 😂
Video link of me and Matt on a **** about to ready player one premier if interested*

Feel like maybe this rush thread might have been derailed 😂😂😂

*car looks a load better now than from
that video since it's been redone

Oh my fu{k1ng good lord . . . . that is the coolest thing I've ever seen 😍😍😍

No wonder everyone was stopping you. It's absolutely amazing .. . . .I watched that whole video with a massive smile on my face.

Sensational mate, absolutely top notch.

i think the landscape is shifting a little, i think this will be sterns first big flop in the "covid era" i just get sizzle pinball vibes , stern have been cutting corners left right and centre but i think this is just to much for too little. RUSH really are not that cool .

Thing is though, Rush are a bit goofy.
Tailor made for the nerd population that is Pinside, the LE's over there won't last long.
I think it will do quite well, on the other hand p!ss poor in Europe.

Glad you liked 🎸🤟🏻🎸it I just watched it all
Again as well , was so much fun 🤩

Very nice. My mate imported one from Texas he bought off eBay and "I think" the DMC owners club chairman owns it now, or did anyway.
When those lottery numbers do come up I know I want to build an exact replica.

Hopefully I can talk my mate into parting with his BTTF pin at some point as he still has that.

Kudos for driving it all the way there without a low loader, well done chap and great video too.

Another grand gets you a GNR and let’s face it that looks sooo much better.

I’m surprised stern haven’t started catching up with the whole Cover them in LED thing !

Say what you will for JJP games but they are all more packed than a Stern !

But Stern games are actually fun to play

im assuming when you say it’s fun to drive you mean because it generates attention? Because as a car its pretty poor and as a sports car, which was the original intent, it’s very poor. About 8 years ago I drove one round the ring and half way into a fast lap it’s the first and only car I actually bailed out of finishing a hot lap for fear of actual death. It has no power, the under steer on it is genuinely worse than a milk float and the roll (and the bizarre noises it makes) when you turn in is new pants time. The owner of it who was a passenger was relieved also!
I love Giugiaro designs he designed some of the best cars ever, BMW M1, Lotus Esprit and the epic Golf. And I love the Delorean design it looks fantastic I wonder what the car would be like if the Delorean had been built by a proper car company. Joe Kaminkow also has one which is modded to look like the BTTF car!

Gary got out on top that is the indicator to me that the pinball has hit the top, most people have blown the games room budget, energy bills and mortgage's on the rise. this is a flop in the making shame as im a borg fan.
Not sure he's got out? Isnt it more a case he's taking more of a back seat but still in control?

This might give us a clue as to the future:
"Immediately prior to joining Stern Pinball, Seth served on the executive team responsible for the highly successful subscription-based streaming services, Disney+ and ESPN+."

Way to go - the new kid in charge of Stern will be pushing to increase recurring renewals via a similar model - PERHAPS !!! ???

I thought that was a given when that press release was put out, once all the planned features are released fleshing out Connect it will most likely become a true subscription model.

Anyone who loves Borgs games is onto a winner these days.

Get a few art overlays of your favs and a little work in pinball browser and you can have a best of Borg 12 in 1 :D

Still shocked just how similar this game is,
Borg recycles a lot but this is a straight up copy.

It generates so much attention but it's really lovely attention it's not like for example when some folk see some souped up sports cars or a Ferrari or some stupid loud exhaust car , and as much as they might like it there is the urge to mutter " guy has a micro penis " or " what a bum truffler " 🤣
Personally for me I like how it makes other smile and I let anyone sit in it and take pics it often does charity parades and a few schools have had it along so it's a fun thing in that respect .

Also when you get in and close the gull wing doors , switch on the time circuits and blast out the power of love it makes me smile each and every time :)

You must have been mad to have taken it around a track and no wonder you feared for your life what were you thinking 😂🤣
I would never do that and have probably never taken it over 70MPH it's not a daily driver it's just a bit of fun.

You could put the " back to the future DMC " next to a parade of super cars and the DMC is the one that folk warm to , the car is more than a car to a lot of people . You saw the BTTF musical the car is pretty much the star . The movie is so important to so many and the car and the movie are intertwined together .

The fact that the company failed and the story behind it all is what makes it so interesting, I get what your saying that maybe if it had been a success what could it have been ? I think the story is what it is now and how grounded in popular pop culture it is.
I have been , not so much now but lots of car shows and you get car heads and Clarkson wannabes asking all sorts of questions and I have no answers for them I couldn't care less what engine is in it or what speed it does or how it handles . Myself and most other DMC owners have it because it's absolutely fricking cool 😎

My mate has a Mclaren don't Know what one but it's very smart , we went for a cruise with mine , his and kitt and he said never again is he coming as he felt like he was the speed car leading the way for us two 😂

Interesting about Joe having one I will see if he is on my group , wonder if he got it from video Bob 🤷🏻‍♂️

Thanks buddy ... can't see the point of low loading if your gonna have One you gotta drive it .
While listening to RUSH of course 🤣🤣🤣🤣

The above pretty much sums up Dolly my little Fiat 500. Everywhere I go in her people stop and stare with kids generally smiling and waving at us.
Line her up in a classic car show and she generates the biggest crowds no matter what sits either side of her.
She now has a very capable 650cc engine (original engine was reworked and stored safely) this makes her more practical and believe it or not she will do 80mph, not that you would want to go this fast as the brakes are still stock!
These cars weren’t designed for the drive but more for the common man as a basic means of transport.
Both myself and my son used dolly as a wedding car and again she was the Center of attention so it just goes to show it doesn’t take a classic Ferrari to make someone’s day as like I’ve always said sometimes it’s the little things in life that make you smile.

Love that ... ❤️
I see a lot of wedding cars being a wedding photographer 😁 and that's super cool , mate of mine has a few Morris and busses he would love this

Aside from being almost a retheme of X-Men which IMO at current pinball prices is inexcusable, it looks much better than I expected. I'm warming to the music (Never thought I'd say that!) and if James Bond wasn't seemingly coming very soon it would be in the running for next machine arriving. I know a lot of people don't like the art but I actually quite like it? To be honest the only thing that would dock it major points is the fact it is essentially a re-theme.

It's nostalgia pure and simple. It actually IS a time machine because it takes people back to the feeling they had as a child watching the film (I was 11) and that is priceless.

It's not just about attention either, it's about the feeling it gives people who see it and the warm response you then get in return. Put simply it makes people feel good and smile.

I love the digital time machine display too. 😍

I saw the Scooby Doo wagon at a camp site in Devon last year and it was so cool. I'd happily swap my smooth driving modern ford transit for an A-Team van regardless of how poorly it drove (I'm also scared of flying although don't require poisoning 😂). Funnily enough I saw the Only Fools Robin Reliant when I drove up to see @Jmac a few months ago.

Hats off to you mate, that may be the best toy I've ever seen.

I like the artwork, the music isn’t terrible and the layout feels innovative in places (I haven’t seen the double scoops/multiball before…?).

It doesn’t look to have the invention/novelty of the pins that Keith Elwin is currently putting out and, for me, it’s very much… okay. I look forward to playing it at the Electrocoin showroom/Funland and I suspect I’ll rate it on Pinside between 7 and 7.5.

One thing to note. Xmen layout is absolutely awesome, the issue with X-men is they had Waison and Lonnie doing the code. If this is Xmen with proper code then I'll likely be ordering one.

Yes, the layout looks fun - it looks to have great flow.

I've been into Rush on and off for many years, I think I bought my first Rush lp in 1978 - A Farewell to Kings - still my favorite - not so keen on their later or very early stuff, here's my recommended listening list of long players:

"2112"
"A Farewell to Kings" and "Hemispheres" (they are linked by the last track on the first Album and the first track on the 2nd --"Cygnus X-1" and "Cygnus X-1 Book II" ).
"Moving Pictures" and "Permanent Waves", maybe also "Signals" and "Presto" worth a listen.

There is a lot more but these are my pick.

I'm not sure I'd have recognised them from their fizzogs in the middle of the playfield.

For those not getting on with the Geddy voice, try YYZ a good instrumental track.

X-Men was awesome. Despite the similarity to Ap and XM (and everything is starting to look the same!). Looks interesting.

Someone just pointed out on Pinside the right ramp is the same right ramp from GOTG!

Not to be a stick in the mud but I think if the layout works and flows then that’s half the job. I like the look of this. There’s only so many possibilities before pins are going to copy ideas and I think with this being another rock pin they’ve probably gone for a tried and tested formula which is gonna appeal to Rush fans..Keith Elwin comes up with cool ideas and has some nice shots but on the most part his pins don’t flow whatsoever unless you’re a Jedi master pinball player.

I always find this opinion genuinely surprising. I’m a rubbish pinball player - I struggle to get to Destroy the Ring on LoTR - and I absolutely LOVE JP2 and GZ. They have a huge ‘one more game’ quality because I *want* to do better. I *want* to shoot better, I *want* to aim better, I *want* to get the combos going.

When I play ‘easier’ and ‘more accessible’ pins, the gameplay feels really dull and unsatisfying because it feels like playing one of those old-style carnival machines, or pressing the buttons on the mechanical attractions in museums/zoos - I’m just flapping the ball around to see what happens.

That’s the great thing about pinball we all like different things. I love turtles and ghostbusters and there generally not well recieved and are no way an easy game but keep me coming back for more.

I absolutely detest JP2.. in my opinion it’s the worst pin I’ve ever played and I don’t comment unless I’ve had them in an home enviroment for the full experience. Probs get slated but someone could give me one and I’d refuse it

No mate I wholeheartedly agree JP lasted a couple of month and just done my tits in. However both AIQ and GZ are a lot easier to play and the flow and combos quite easy to nail whereas both my IMDN and JP were far from it but that’s probs because I’m a rubbish player.
But like you said each to there own that’s what’s so good about pinball. My mate loves Munsters and wouldn’t part with it and I’m still surprised when people say they like LZ!
