All aboard for the Rush hype train

The easiest pass for me since LZ although it does indeed look a lot more loaded not that it takes much 😂
Music wise “spirit of radio” is the only song I know and really enjoyed enough to buy way back in the day. The rest all sounds typical prog rock stuff that has been done by better groups of that era IMO.
Art on both the PF & Cab are very polarising and are sure to appeal to fans a lot like LZ did but to me both the aforementioned look ****e in comparison to the last doz or so pins released in recent years regardless of manufacturer.
If I see it on site I will definitely Chuck a few quid it’s way and who knows may be pleasantly surprised.
I am sure Rush fans will be happy with this pin but will it bridge the gap between rush fans and pinheads who just like the layout and flow a bit like IMDN did? I very much doubt it!
IMDN had me buying one for the layout and art not the band as it was a thing of beauty that had a lot of thought put into the shots and flow. Not sure if this is anywhere near that ballpark but time will tell.

The more I look at it the more it looks like a re theme rather than a new design.

Even the ramps are almost identical in shape, that left ramp entrance might have been pulled straight out of Sterns spare parts bins!
 
i think the landscape is shifting a little, i think this will be sterns first big flop in the "covid era" i just get sizzle pinball vibes , stern have been cutting corners left right and centre but i think this is just to much for too little. RUSH really are not that cool . what's i find most frustrating is that mando buyers and other games still have not got the pins they ordered yet they keep releasing left right and centre and not fulfilling orders this simply isn't right. Gary got out on top that is the indicator to me that the pinball has hit the top, most people have blown the games room budget, energy bills and mortgage's on the rise. this is a flop in the making shame as im a borg fan.
 
wow that's a lot closer than I though Jon - you wonder where stern would be if Elwin hadn't gone into design.
 
That music is so wrong , so bad just a mess of all sorts of terrible sounds all being played at once with some hideous screeching , I am feel like my ears have been violated .... going to bleach them out 😢
 
yup RUSH is the delorian of music , looks amazing has amazing legacy, super cool , in all the right movies but what a dog to drive

My Delorean is epic to drive , I often get people asking what it's like and I genuinely have no issue with it , I think it's almost like when people believed you couldn't park it and get out if a car is either side , but you actually need less space ... no way can you compare that crime against music to the DMC 😁

The blame for the art is likely on Rush it’s there say so not Sterns. The layout is totally on Stern, at this point and I mean it with all due respect Borg is recycling his layouts and mechs!

I think most themes aren't 'cool'. I've seen most of the music ones referred to as grandad rock .
I disagree but still.
I think Rush looks cooler than any of the Marvel themes.

Yeah it’s a lot closer than I thought too and instantly thought x-men when I first saw the pics. It’s about 95% Xmen!

Even the mechs are recycled, dual up post behind the drops is from avatar, magnet is in the same position it was in Austin powers. And it looks like when the ramp is down in front of the magnet/time machine it’s a dead end shot with no target?
 
what cars are you comparing the delorean to? Milk floats don't count.

I know there are only four " time machine " conversions like mine in the UK and only two on the road . It's a very small bunch of nerds in the world that are into time machine conversion an even smaller group than pinball and a shed load more arguments 🤣🤣🤣
Not sure of any standard DMC owners , but maybe there are a few blasting out some epic power chords from RUSH on the cassette player 😁

That's incredibly cool.

I've never actually seen one in the flesh. I'm really impressed.

I watched a documentary on the bloke not too long ago. I think it was BBCFOUR and had all the history about the car plant in Belfast.

Anyway . . . cool car mate 😎🏎

Yeh it was a good documentary that, there was another one too with Alec Baldwin.

The biggest surprise for me was the chin implants he had (John DeLorean, not Alec Baldwin).

Cheers dude it's a super fun thing to drive and it's been incredible opening up doors to some really cool
Things , me and @Sgt GrizZ did an 80's party for Costa coffee and there was the A team van and loads of cool stuff and the car was at the ready player one premier me and @Matt Adams went up met Spielberg was insane .. my son's favourite band and one of mine is royal
Blood lead singer came round at Xmas and had a sit in it , people have such ownership of the movie they loose their minds 😂
