Thanks Col I'll contact next pay day about it. Need to let the finances recover. 😂

Please tell me you didn’t swap Deadpool for that burned out wreck?! Can’t believe someone brought that to the show!

Neil

I know three people who want Addams currently, and they have told me they would spend between £7k and £10k depending on condition.
So this makes (even this one) worth just as much as a Stern pro.
It is none of mine or anybodies business what gets paid for machines, but we do not know for sure what Deadpool cost Scotts wife, or if he sold it on, even traded.
Does not matter, the prices will be down in the next six months anyhow.
Addams will always be a game people want.

Lock bar restored, this is why I'm going new though I can't remove the impact points and I'm aiming for a mint restoration.

Still always good to have a spare bar when the others are at the powder coaters.

Wow, not messing around.

Certainly a bit quicker than the progress I made in the 5 years since I've had the playfield. 🤦🏽‍♂️

Can't wait to see how good this will look when it's finished.

I think I'll add the van mishap to the pinball rites of passage thread...

Dan's gearbox gave up on him 15 minutes from my house. RAC sorted him out. No pinball machine related mishaps!
Done let the truth stand in the way of a good story.......

Loving the restoration mate.

More pictures.

Labelling everything is so boring.

Cab has a lot of damage, going to be tough squeezing two cabs in 3 days. Let's see how we fare.

Progress was interrupted today as I had to pickup another pin. The return trip took almost double time to get back due to traffic and motorway closure's due to accidents...

Managed to use what time I had to remove cabinet parts.

Fighting the weather today. Played havok with the sanding and wood filling prep.

Got most of it done, but will need to wait until at the workshop to get most of the major stuff done.

Sanded down the inside first.

Is wifey repainting the decals then I take it?

Mirror blades on cab??
Nah gone original for this, decal wise. Something special for the side rails and maybe lock bar though.

She's far too vested in LOTR at the moment anyway. 🤣

On target for the decal application on Friday.

May begin the playfield swap tomorrow now since I have cab prep out of the way.

Need to inspect the work in the light to see if I missed anything.

Worked a little more this morning before work.

Patched, sanded and painted the lock bar holes (interior).

Will remove the earth braid and finish the front later.

Did some more clean up at lunch.

Added a new latch too.

From the strip-down pictures, I see that this was originally a German allocation machine. Hence the mis-match between the non original C220 door and the older (by u.k. reckoning) cash box and 'U' bracket. U.K. machines had a C220 door factory fitted, with a bit of metal added simply to prevent the door being closed with the lever of the molding lock left open.

In that situation, when converting such games for work, I'd drill a hole in the lever, and attach a large extension spring (usually a pool table coin slide spring) between the lever and the cabinet, as Stern used to do.

Good spot the interlock plate is missing. I need to get one but looks like Pinball Mania is off for the whole of September.

I see that now mention it, the original door would've had the switch mounted in the top corner of the frame, whereas the u.k. production would need a bracket added to the cabinet, which goes right back to Level 6 games.

Love the clear ramps now. Much nicer!

Are you using radcals? I love them. Cuts installation down loads. Just have to get the corners and edges perfect.
Gone with Retro Arcades decals. Seems thick and good. Will see how it fairs.
