I did some TZ tuning... I've used an LED strip that is blue and purple and UV. Because of the UV radiation, it is not possible to take a good picture of it. I hope this small amount of UV won't do any harm. In real life, this looks really good. I also added some extra lighting behind the title and the Bally logo. The title on the speaker panel is illuminated with a thin EL panel. The inverter is connected via a separate power supply to the mains voltage. Of course all of this wouldn't be possible with the original Speaker Panel and the original Translite. I am using my Backglass with custom sky and two black layers of ink, and my Speaker Panel which allows for illumination of the Title only. The COB LEDs are covered with 1 mm Silver HIPS which is white on the other side. This allows for much better light diffusion. There's a strip attached to the upper playfield glass trim (and hidden from the view) which illuminates the upper playfield only, but with the mirror foil on the sides and the glass above the light gets dispersed all over.

Putting one of these things together... a TiltAudio board (a PinSound Alternative project)... interesting kit, also a very good test of my ham fisted soldering skills. Be interesting to find out if it works or goes up in Smoke!

Be interested on how you go as the guy who did this doesnt seem to reply to anyone asking for help. You do know that the board needs jumpers added (if you look on here for Tilt! audio you will se some of the issue).

Steve has been very responsive in my experience so far Phil. He uses Slack - and has been excellent so far to be fair.

Finished the build - just been wiring up the speakers... good news is that the board boots... and getting some audio. However got some GI and switch problems now! So obviously messed up something. Just having a read of the schematics to look at fuses etc.

Will keep you posted.

I think if he replied on forums, he may sell more boards as if it works without issue it could be a pinsound killer.

At the moment I wouldn't describe it as a product Phil - its an electronics kit, in my opinion. It probably appeals to the more technical pinball enthusiasts - as it is at them moment (its now V3.0 - Black btw).

It needs to become a fully built product like PIN2DMD, Afterglow, etc for it to be sold in any real numbers. My hunch is that this may happen once he's figured out the full design and functionality.

Switches and GI was a dodgy ribbon connection.

Got it running. Playing with audio packs now. No smoke... yet!

He needs to stop adding crap to it every week and Come out with a fully working, no issues stable version..... Kit or not.

In the background work on the "next" version... And then release the new update 6-12 months later...

I’d agree with that Paul - seems to be updates coming fast and furious. To be fair I’ve managed to get this one up and running fairly easily... need to see how it goes - I’m sure there’ll be some dodgy connections somewhere at least.

Just completed a working proto Stern Spike & Spike 2 led shooter gauge.
Has various effects and options to change.
Briightness and colour adjustments.
Clicks into metal shooter gauge mount.
Requires white disc to be added onto the shooter rod.
Cable plugs into 12v supply in backbox and one connection on the shooter lane switch.

Finally reassembled BSD after having it stripped for a couple of months, fitting; cliffy's protectors, @Colywobbles protectors, Morpheus' coffin cover mod, Pinball Bazaar's (@James) red rubber kit and @RudeDogg1 's awesome painted models.

Looking good @crsedgar - how have you found the Perfect Play rubbers, they look really good on BSD I must say, I need to add the kit to the website, but kits take a while to add as they are a bundled product.

I haven't played many games @James due to a sticky coffin ramp but so far they work well, a joy to install compared to traditional rubbers.
