Spooky Pinball Scooby Doo

Think they're going to end up selling mostly CEs if only due to the art package! 😂

So am I the only one that likes the Mystery Machine artwork and thinks it is way more authentic than the Std/BSE and thought they should have use that for the top one?

Not having looked at Spooky games much, from that comparison, it seems there are no gameplay differences between the three models?

I guess depends on the give sculpts for how the playfield looks.

Another overly complicated playfield with upper pf hiding the lower pf shots. Looks amazing but along with the usual clunky, unintuitive, buggy code and slow development I predict the initial excitement will turn to frustration and disappointment again.

I think Spooky need to lay off the upper playfields and use some traditional rules/code but keep packing the games with toys and mechs and great themes.

Surely one of the iconic moments in Scooby Doo is them running through secret doors and coming out of random other doors in random orders. Kind of fits with not being able to have a clue where the ball is.
Yeah, I know what you mean and related to the theme, I agree. All I know is that it looks a lot like Alice Cooper and I hated not knowing where the ball was most of the time.

Its just my initial thoughts, I don’t want to poo poo on a game I ve not played or seen a proper gameplay video of.

I will say well done to Spooky for getting a load of great licenses for their last few games, which is giving Stern and JJP a run for their money.

I am generally a fan of a more open layout as my lineup is testament to that however for some reason it worked for me with BK2000 and BKSOR due to the rewarding loop shot on the top PF similar in some ways to WH20.
RnM was the clunkiest game ive owned (sorry @Neil McRae) however the Theme and elements of the funky layout with its lower pop and teleport from the garage was genius.
In a lot of ways they have pandered to fans of the franchise and spooky have again came out with some ballpark mechs with the outlane feeds and diverter/flipper on the top battlefield with the manga hand monster. Hats off to em its a lot less than a Stern Premium and mega loaded with bling. With decent code this could be there best game to date.

The only thing im a little ****ed off about is they loaded it up with green Flo Protectors and thats my job 😝

So apparently Bug said this is the dude in charge of the music so I've high hopes and pray this Count D chap delivers! Either way its gonna be a metal fest by the sounds of it **** Yeah!

This dude does a great breakdown kinda like Cary Harry’s on steroids and points out a lot of features. They sure have gone the extra mile on mechs, magnets and innovative stuff that has been used before but brought into a modern day pin. Excitement is rising for me anyways and I just hope it shoots better than RnM which in honesty doesn’t take much.
He is critical and does point out similarity’s with ACNC which suffered from tight shots but neglects the fact that being a wide body this should hopefully give more real estate to accommodate them.

If im being honest I would have liked it to be sub 10k like in the US but its no different to all the manufacturers in these crazy times and pinball aside we are seeing rises across the board in all luxury item Markets.

However good on spooky for giving you all the important stuff/mechs/ramps that count on there entry level machine, unlike Stern who rip half of the stuff out!

The Standard EDT. is where the sensible money is but unfortunately our community are as far from sensible as you can get me included. 😂

I lost money on Halloween. Spooky dont do distributor discount like some mfr's do and the cost of containers, business running costs etc has rocketed. So as much as I'd like to have done the CE for £9995, thats just not possible while running a business with actual costs!

That wasn’t a dig at you @philpalmer that was me hoping for the best.
Price didn’t put me off as you know and my deposit for a CE does the talking.
In the grand scheme of things I think it’s value for money as I stated comparing to stern prices.

What springs to mind is evolution with spooky.
TNA had the Scott Danesi lock, this similar multiball lock featured in Alice Cooper Haunted castle, haunted castle is now in Scooby Doo. Good price for a wide body.. Looks a decent layout but they need better coders/rulessets and graphic designers. Multiple rules, likes collecting scooby snacks along with completing modes with different characters..

I've just put on website now... for those who haven't already ordered and paid deposit.
