My new STTNG

Without a doubt Jim, you'll be pleased to know that your board has been successfully installed and is running the screen.

Cool 👍 It will help you down the road to, as you've got 7 other outputs to run mods from and none of them will be running off your driver board, which has enough on its plate just running the original stuff on this game :)

Have a look at this guy's machine. https://www.facebook.com/xingothx/I asked where he got the DMD cover (would love one for my STTNG) but he said a friend made it for him. If anyone knows someone that could make one for me I'd appreciate a heads up.

Initial unfinished design, still need a lattice for the speakers and I'm unsure whether to put the Borg insignia on one side.

What about things like this and make your own led addons?

Funnily enough I've just ordered a Klingon ship to do exactly that.

The software is LX2. Is it worth getting a different one and how is it best to go about it? As I understand it the chip just needs swapping out.

I haven't noticed anything dodgy about the software. I love the way the game builds up to 'The Final Frontier', I know that there are only 6 balls but it feels like 20 . . . . . absolutely mental multiball.

Just to reiterate that Martin from GoPinball is fantastic. Very trustworthy, reasonable and reliable.

Got LX-7 rom in mine, don’t know what the difference is but color dmd say use the latest rom with their display also I had the non ghosting patch added for LED’s.
Paul normally does the roms but think he said he was stopping for a while, think my pinballs does them too.

Thanks for posting that. I had no idea that it was so thorough.

There's definitely more to do with the DMD although I do love the colour screen. To be honest I've just been enjoying playing the thing and trying to beat my high score each time.

I can see the issue with the side drains but it's nowhere near as severe as Popeye in that respect.

Speaking of which I think poor old Popeye is getting sold at this rate.

Always run latest software 😁 I can burn you a new rom with latest on no problem. I’ll pm you

That looks friggen ace dude 👍
Cheers mate. Needs the glow around the windows and some shadowing but it's getting there.

The poor fell does know that there are two canons and a Romulan space ship waiting for when he's finished that 😬😂

That looks nice👍
This reminds me, saw this the other day on pinside but it’s $200.

Yeah very nice. There is so much stuff that you can do.

Hopefully I'll stop at some point 😬
