I500 is very good, I'd make an offer though, one went earlier in the week for 1300 off here.
There was a BUNCH of color changing going on with the playfield and cabinet very late in the development. The backglass pretty much stayed the same. The changes were based on our German distributor commenting on the color scheme and relating it to "baby colors" which started a wave of color changing.
I have a cabinet test panel on Masonite that is the full red with more purplish tires. My own Indy 500 game was the photoshoot machine for the brochure, which was a VERY early sample run game, and it has the orange to yellow treatment. Also, to add to the confusion, the Indy's seem to have faded more than other cabinets of the era... There where also at least two playfield color versions - I have a rich red to purple NOS playfield and my game (photoshoot, remember) is more orange to lighter blue towards the bottom.
I think the protos were done one way, the sample run done another way (like my game), and the production games were a third version.
Anyone seen the I500 for £1595. on iPad so harder to link. Good game, worth the money?
The biggest ****er was that two of the four square targets were missing and replaced with a three bank ****ty target,.
Thats just it the guy being brand new to the hobby did not know what to look for and one target is like another to him shame they are the most expensive targets out there.I looked at the ebay listing - you actually could see in the photos the targets weren't original. Unfortunately a newbie to the hobby prob wouldn't clock this. Agree with everything else you say. Saying it had new rubbers, and it hasn't is just plain f*cking stupid.
I have had it up to here with bull**** sellers on ebay. I dont know why it should bother me cos I dont buy from ebay anymore, but it does. There are a lot of *poor* condition games being touted at eyewatering prices right now - be careful people, ask questions on here if in doubt.

I've not played a TFTC, let alone owned one, but its on my list. What's wrong with it, why is it 'relatively unpopular'?
I'd certainly be happy to buy a fully working TFTC for 800 or so, a bit more for a beauty .... anyone selling?
MM needing work. Interesting why PinballHeaven wouldn't make it mint and sell it, but it will prob go at a ridiculous price anyway so why bother!

Exactly the same here Geoff. I hate having to bid close to the end of an auction but it's about the only way to secure an item at a price anywhere near to what you want to pay. Sure if I was a millionaire then maybe i'd not bother, but bidding early in my view generally means you either pay more or miss out entirely.
