"a licence to shill"

Remove the head añd backglass (the backglass being one of de's best)

Make it really difficult to play

Charge 10x for it

can think of a few superlatives ... awful shameful .. a rescued playfield from an op store can make a nice table not a donor game

phantom is an awesome game

best match sequence of any pinball

Phantom has a great theme, paul faris (centaur, paragon) art, great sounds ...

But is a typical underinvested data east game that did not hold its own against williams games of the period like funhouse, whirlwind, diner, earthshaker, rollergames imho

It always annoyed me that these de games had such potential, often with great themes and music, but the art was always cheapo. Like modern sterns. Maybe de was too tight to let guys like paul faris finish his work, so just went with the preliminary sketches

seems £550 BUY IT NOW not cheap enough. seen repro translites. Once had a backglass framed but was used to save a machine many moons ago

It's pricey for it's condition. I'd value mine at a grand but that's fully restored with no playfield wear and coming with a 2nd populated playfield for spares.

Agreed, seems a high price for what is on offer, I have 2 , 1 for spares. certainly gone up in value since I got mine, will be interested to see if it sells for a grand

If you click through his other items there's a choice of Star Trek and Earth Wind & Fire tables too - I can't decide :tut:

A sudden interest in selling fathoms. Just because a minter goes for sensible money , does that mean people will buy any old stuff for top dollar? Strange. One blurry pic. No displays...flakey BACKGLASS.crazy.....crazy world of pinball of recent times.:hmm: Looks defo like a scammer.......

Looks dodgy to me. I see auctions like this all the time for Roland Jupiter 8's (one of the kings of the synth world) used by scammers due to the demand and high price they achieve. Bad English/spelling, request to ring mobile, single pic etc.... all the signs are there. If you really had one of these to sell, reckon you'd spend more time providing pics. It doesn't cost to add more.

He's selling it On behalf of his Nigerian father who was killed in a recent coup and has a warehouse in Lagos full of mint machines. He just needs a representative In the UK who can act as an agent and would be willing to offer 40% of all sales in return. No questions asked.......
