Yup. With a PF like that, swerved it..... :(

the search continues :D
I bid on that up to £300 but didn't want to bid higher because of the PF too. I was outbid within the hour by an account with low feedback and a suspicious amount of bid retractions and decided enough was enough too. Indeed the search continues.....

Is that a fare price for a BTTF? It's a game I'd like to try sometime, just because of the theme.

How's it rated as a game?

Must of been a good price for the BTTF as it's been removed from eBay already.
Yeah I had 2nd thoughts, had lots of interest got scarred it would actually sell, had a few messages from people saying why your Bttf and got me thinking I'll never find another nice one with such little wear, plus it looks cool next to gb! So it's safe for this week anyway!

I'm glad you didn't loose it to ebay and the strange people outside of our community that want a pinball machine just because of its theme!

Its a shame we're not closer otherwise I'd of offered to look after it for you for a time, just so you'd miss it for a bit before getting it back.

Your right on one thing, it's a nice looking machine.

Forgive me but what is wrong with buying a pinball because of its theme? Bought my T2 because its one of my favorite films and the same with STTNG and CFTBL. Would not buy a machine just because it plays well! Maybe I am a Strange Outsider?

It's one of the most common subjects for discussion round here - theme or gameplay.

There's great themes with crappy games (eg XFiles, Avengers) and there's crappy themes with awesome games (eg Shadow, Rollergames) ..... most of us agree that both is preferable but then there's all the unlicensed winners too like Scared Stiff and Whitewater to consider.

Nothing at all wrong with buying a game for the theme, but personally if I had to choose, I'd do exactly what you say you'd not do, ie I'd buy a machine just because it plays well, even if it's Justin Bieber and the My Little Ponies

Dan you are you clairvoyant or got inside info as you have just named Sterns next 3 releases - Justin Bieber Bieberlicious, My Little Ponies and then JB v MLP Smack Down

Hello Dan and I accept your reasons for buying a machine but beauty is in the eye of the beholder. My Fathom is powered up often just to admire it and never played but even if the game play was rubbish I would not sell it. By the way did you choose your Avatar on looks or game play!

Ha! Avatar isn't so bad as its rep suggests, once you know the rules. But I agree with you, Fathom is better looking than Avatar.

Excuse me? X files crappy theme! Currently working my way through all the seasons. Awesome theme!

It's all a matter of taste!

But one thing we can all agree on is that pinball is to everyones taste (on this forum anyway)!

So long as we can hit a ball with a couple of flippers we should all be happy! So go and play some pinball, NOW!!!
