pet hate game . apart from when you link 2 NBA FB together I find all basketball themed games zero interest

500 for a dead globetrotters with big wear spots on the playfield ?

Either daft or shilling

Unusual bat**** crazy game on Gumtree. Playfield looks like a Bally X's and O's. But the backglass and cab is "Power Ball 3"

Some sort of weird German conversion ?

Collector's piece ?

When I first started collecting it seemed like there was a Harlem Globetrotters' game constantly on ebay. Still never played one

Harlem is a fantastic game, inline drops, superb strategy, addictive gameplay. Its another classic Bally from the early 80's, of course it's not as beautiful as Xenon or Fathom, and the theme will put some people off. But if you enjoy playing pinball, trust me, it's great

I do not like the theme, but harlem globetrotters is ok

I was always very suspicious about this game, but it is like a narrow version of masterpiece game paragon really. But with worse playfield art, worse cab art, worse backglass and less to shoot at

But it is still a good game imho if you get into the "low and slow" groove of these late 70s games. I saw albert nomden play this game at the uk open this year. Quite a master class

Or you could buy from Phil for £5295 NIB :) Not sure why this guy thinks selling for £45 less is a bargain :cuckoo:

Was exported back to the US as couldn't shift it in the UK. Alvin G had gone bust . Electrocoin had to skip several so we're glad for my £100 . 1996 pinball nadir. Only other NIB I've owned was a jackbot 2 years after which l swapped for a minty BK2K . Sat unsold at POA 2000 with £300 price tag all weekend. End of show did the swap. Same show Mr Pup foster started his pinball owning journey with police force just nudging 3 figures. Different world. You can just see the police force behind the st tng. Sold that to dave Kingston for £250 at the death to avoid taking home. Had lots of people oohing and ahhing at 300 but only dave had the cash.

So when a twonk on ebay who I won his admittedly tidy jacks to open for £300 the other week rang today and said he can't honour the deal, as it's worth at least lk in the current market but as a gesture of faith I can have first refusal at £750 you can see why I just cut him off

Madness absolute madness

as I have a few "spares" I hope it does go up in desirability LOL . from pinpedia it looks likes its crept to around £1200 ish now . like everything the right buyer ie a classic Whovian would probably pay a bit more. that project one looks a bit tatty although they do tend to suffer around the expander

http://www.pinpedia.com/machine/Doctor-Who/prices?c=gb

being one of the above Whovians I was very disapointed when Dr Who was released as compared to say TAF it seemed verybasic and the artwork and dot animations are a bit crappy to say the least. it felt like a pinbot rehash and in a way it is. but then like pinbot the open playfield leads to some frenzied action and who cant enjoy basjing Davros whilst the Daleks scream?

Well the DW went for a whopping £871! it it looked a dog! so that blows the 1k out the water for a nice one, I thought that was a tad low anyway in this climate, I would have thought 1.5k would be right.

Thats crazy unless it was a who fan who knows nothing about pinball

I guess Ebay is not a good guide as prices can be allover the place! and we might see it back on soon either once the buyer sees it or for other reasons!!!

Agree, it was a bargain. Sat at one bidder for days and bidding ended at the starting bid price.. At least there wasn't any shill bidding..

I believe they've subsequently amended their ways.

Btw, those translucent blue flippers are the dogs.
They are pretty sweet aren't they ? I've had some superband rubbers that are more yellow and new rubber nuts (ooerr missus) delivered today from The Legend.
I'll bob a photo in the Vector thread when I fit them.

That's harsh. I have a dw and i keep coming back to it. It is an under rated game.
A long time ago i had to get rid of one of my two pinball machines: it was between dw and r&b. R&b had to go. Dw stayed.
It was me who bought it. :p

its DINE TIME!
bit risky with a totally dead sys 11 as a new set of displays could blow your budget
imagine with project fever it will sell for more than full working ones were making last year

I sold a nice DW a couple of months ago for £1100 :) Ebay is no indicator of the correct price of known condition pinball machines

I still think 1100 is low, and yes Ebay is the wrong place to judge value for sure. I think your lucky
