as I have a few "spares" I hope it does go up in desirability LOL . from pinpedia it looks likes its crept to around £1200 ish now . like everything the right buyer ie a classic Whovian would probably pay a bit more. that project one looks a bit tatty although they do tend to suffer around the expander

http://www.pinpedia.com/machine/Doctor-Who/prices?c=gb

being one of the above Whovians I was very disapointed when Dr Who was released as compared to say TAF it seemed verybasic and the artwork and dot animations are a bit crappy to say the least. it felt like a pinbot rehash and in a way it is. but then like pinbot the open playfield leads to some frenzied action and who cant enjoy basjing Davros whilst the Daleks scream?

Paid more for my lw3 than my dw but then again there was at least 10 years between the two purchases. Still got both. Love dw as it was my first pin. Worth at least 10k in my eyes! Recently fitted led and the fairly dark playfield came to life.
Just need to fit my cliffy protectors and it will be spotless. Just need redecalling and fixing a permanent fault on time expander and change the dmd and re-rubber and new balls and good clean and it will be as new. Nearly there. ...

I will be re dacalling mine, and fitting cliffys, have all the bits waiting for warmer weather to start the resto

Dw really suffered from the sun. The red turns orange. Never seen one with nice vibrant colours.
Where did you get the decals from?

There's a great DW refurb thread on pinside.

Yes mine is faded badly one one side and slightly on the other, I got the decals from Portugal £144 shipped, they look good.

The Doctor Who on Ebay is from the same seller that I bought a non working Jokerz! from back in 2012.

He had the DW as well back in 2012, which was non-working then, with the same opto issues that are described in the current ebay description.

The Jokerz! had major CPU board corrosion problems which eventually led me to cannibalise another System 11B game to get it working again. The seller didn't seem to have much knowledge of pinball repairing, so potential buyers beware!

I did have one about two years back I really liked it! The kids liked it more family friendly than some, they usually have wear to the trunk and suffer from cabinet fad that one looks ok, but pictures are rubbish and he's after top whack but aren't most lately

Class of '96. In my view smack bang in the middle of the best period for pins.
Anyone else noticed that he's not showing the back box alive, can't help thinking it's been done deliberately, but then again perhaps that's just me!

still prefer party monsters as more to do. someone who really wants a Stiff may go for that but would be record. Remember picking up a van load for Phil boxed and new. I wouldn't recommend Birmingham - Southend - Southport - Birmingham in one day carrying some expensive Stiffs. Was lucky to have one on loan from Phil when 2 years old. was a very fun Halloween party

Don't think I'd spend more than 3k on a SS, even for a peachy one.

What's the Manny cab like, does the quality match up to the original?

weird the Creech guy didn't ask for 2k as would probably have got it. hope it went to someone actually looking for one. beautiful game from day one
