I think Andy was just glad to have someone else cover his long distance patches, pretty certain first time I met him he travelled 100 miles round trip to change a fuse....

That rockypin guy I've tried doing a deal with before. Total waste of time talking to him. Starts getting abusive when you ask questions.
Glad we have a decent community with honest people here.

YOU: 3800 a month ago
rocky-pins: Your point??
YOU: you're that Kristian bloke, the one that accepted a free playfield on the proviso that you needed it for your project, then you put it up on ebay. you're pretty well known for that.
rocky-pins: Again your point is!!
YOU: totally shameless?
rocky-pins:Yes you are, you need to get over your jealousy, get a life and concentrate on earning enough money to buy decent pins, such a shame, I feel for you I really do. If your struggling, I could work out a payment plan for you
YOU: jealousy? no no, you have me wrong. i have a good salary and a fine pinball collection, i just despise to see the parasites of this world, feeding on other people and justifying their behaviour by assuming jealousy, and that others would do the same in your position. we wouldn't. only a total ****stain would take a freebie using lies, and then sell it for profit. i just contacted you to let you know that the pinball community is small, and your reputation is unique.
rocky-pins: Appreciate that silly man
rocky-pins: Shame your fine salary couldn't afford a descent marine set up, that's the crispest tank I ever did see
rocky-pins: And as for the pinball community, the small part is true and it's prats like you that give it a bad name

rocky-pins:And as for my reputation, it can't be that bad, as I sell my pins regularly for very healthy profits, o it's good to be me
YOU: is that all you've got, just 4 replies since my last message?

rocky-pins: Your boring me now
YOU: * you're *

sadly it's all gone quiet now, he's probably fighting off Jon as i write this. hope so
Thankyou for sharing - I hate this type of Jeremy Hunt dearly.

Not that I want to de-rail this thread further (although I think that happened way back) but all this talk of Dorking has me curious, my dad used to be very good friends with a chap called Keith Temple - don't suppose anyone knows what he's up to these days? My dad knows nothing about pins but when I told him I was getting into this years ago he mentioned him as they were friends when he lived in Dorking and sure enough he was right, he even wrote a book which I bought:

Be interested to know, more for my dad who would probably like to say hello to him again!

TAF on the bay!! £1950 start price, is that "planking" on the playfield?

Look at this on eBay
Addams Family Pinball Machine

Can only guess how worn the mansion inserts are...

Forum member? Or maybe Andy @pinballmania can give us a better idea of condition as he serviced it recently?

Just had a message conversation with the owner
"The playfield has vertical hair line cracks as per the photo. The cracks were there when I bought it and have not worsened over the past 15 years and do not affect the gameplay."

I suppose the catch 22 question is could you live with it? Or would you chuck all the extra cash at it?

Isn't this type of overlay for a bit of wear or magnet burn?
How would it sit flush with the playfield over the cracks?
I suppose you could sand them flat and then overlay, and then clear coat? But that's a lot easier than said!!! There's not many people that would tackle that! I suppose you could get someone to do it for you but again your chucking money at it?

Depends how much you could get it for in the first place. It's pretty cheap at the minute. The planking has been caused by the heat from the magnets for sure judging by the locations. The two lower ones look like they might be flat to the touch. The upper one looks worse, but not super terrible. Ask for some close-ups. It is a bit rough around the edges but seen a lot worse. Good news is it's not showing any faults on the credit screen.

TAFs got heavy play same goes for T2 and Funhouse . they are very (very) few HUO ones so its pot luck how they have aged. If you want a collectors condition one you just have to buy new playfield and decals etc. other games in that category of very popular - played to death are Fathom and Space Shuttle. TAF is the newbie game of choice so very surprised if this one goes for less than £3k

Bets are on - though I don't think it's worth it I reckon it'll go for 3.3k , if it's not pulled.
