Complete (build) Log 'cavity wall' cabin Pinball Room

My pleasure Julian,
I have to admit, I am proper cream crackered, aching all over.
Who ever thought lugging 17 pinball machines could be such hard work :rofl:.
I enjoyed every minute of it, fantastic to see your collection all set up for the first time ever, they look amazing, even turned off.
Next visit I will get to test them out :thumbs:

Smart Things home automation to automate external & internal lights, also some power sockets, so leaving the house preps the shed before I get there, also smoke alarm, motion and temperature sensors all via Smart Things.

Belkin Wemo Insight Switch on my heaters so I can a) remote control them, and b) know how much energy I am using, cost of and length of time on.

It's a slow process, but getting there...

Garden to repair next :clap:!!!!

Brilliant stuff - can you tell me the type of spot light & rails you've used please?

Our build still hasn't started! 2weeks to go...

I went cheap and cheerful...

There are quite a few permutations, ended up getting 2m tracks x 8, then joiners to connect the track into 1 piece, finally the lamp holders that just twist onto the track, oh and dim-able LED bulbs.
I wanted silver but they only had white in stock.

Complete? But no topper on JD? :p
Seriously tho, that is one hell of a collection and thank you for taking the time to share the log so others are inspired to follow their dreams. I seriously plan to move out of Surrey so I can free up funds to achieve similar....if 5 pins in a b&q shed wrapped in tinfoil is similar that is! :clap:

Looks amazing, and nice to see my old Ripleys has found a good home :D ( I do miss that one ). I sware that place is a tardis, looks nowhere near that big in the external shots o_O.

Julian, Looks very nice indeed Sir. Was at the League meet yesterday with Chris P and he told me how easy it was lugging 17 machines upstairs and through the house. He is still aching. Good show old man!

Looks fantastic, wish I was local, I'd apply to be your arcade domestic engineer.... :thumbs:

You must be a millionaire after all that coin you've spent.......

I bet your a solicitor or estate agent??

Just caught up on this thread. Fantastic stuff but I have a MASSIVE issue with one thing.....

Why on earth did you go for steps into the club instead of a ramp?!?!

@Julian

What type of heaters did you decide on in the end? I can see the 2 in your photos.

Actually the sparky supplied 2 of these;

I thought 2 x 1kw heaters for that space no way, but they are ideal!

They are set to 14 degrees C at night and 16 during the day, and keep the shed surprisingly warm,

I did also get 2 x 2.5kw Solaire heaters which I really don't use, as I find the oil filled ones do the job.

The Solaire ones are pretty crap and I plan to change them in the Autumn for 1.5kw versions of the others.

I hope this helps.

Just to make lugging pins in and out tough!!! :hmm:

Yes, it does! I had bookmarked those exact 2.5KW Solaire heaters for the Mrs to add to the plans.... When you say "crap", how so?

Its worth saying again, what a fantastic looking games room, with so many good pin titles in there as well, how do you ever drag yourself away from the gamesroom at night?
