Noice. cover looks very good. how much ?
TOO MUCH - vinyl looks nice but is very crackly. Time to have it cleaned properly.
Sleaford Mods arrived this morning.
Smokey black vinyl with a gel filled cover which looks like it could cause chaos if it burst. I’ll put it well away from my other albums just in case.

@Toxteth O'Grady - do you remember the Derek and Clive album in the 70s that had something like that on the cover. Was not nice......
Derek and Clive ad nauseum with the vomit cover. The Sleaford Mods cover has red gel in a plastic liner stuck to the front, if you leave it standing it goes to the bottom....

Yes - thats the album by Derek and Clive.
I had one in the 80s but looked at it about a decade ago and it was dried up. Bet this cover will as well.
Have stopped selling records online. To many idiots. Would rather trade with pals or people that come to the house or workshop. I did sell a load of rare 90s/2000s juke singles about a year ago. Did well out of that.
I do love bands that do something special with vinyl.

I have my vinyl collection listed specifically on my insurance (though I forget what the value is - suspect I might need to re-assess

@HomerRamone - I do not - but considering the average price of a nice condition average album is a tenner then I should do.
Also have many rare things that are now £80-£600 each.
It would be extremely hard to replace anyones collection of vinyl.

It’s definitely worth cataloging what you have just in case the worst happens.

The website Discogs is good for cataloging all your vinyl and giving you an idea of what everything is worth with a high, med and low price guide depending on the condition, If you have the app on your phone you can just scan the barcode on the record sleeve with your camera to bring up that release and click add to collection. rinse and repeat

You can also search by name, label, artist or even the number scratched in the runout of the vinyl it's self (great for tracking down unknown white labels). Just scanning the barcode is the easiest way.

Prices on discogs are far more sane than flea bay too if you are in the market to buy.
Wow, only just found this thread! My modist collection is played quite regularly by myself and the wife (Mutley) while enjoying a few drinks 
most of it is from back in the day and is the same vinyl we both listened to when we were teenagers (we met when we were 17/18) so it's quite special 
. The jukebox (serviced by the awesome @Pick Holder ) has all our singles in too.

Spent a few hours today putting in my record collection into Discogs app (as at record fairs I seem to be bringing home a lot of stuff I already have).
Am about two thirds of the way thru the albums and I clicked on the 'value' - the median price is over £10,000. By the time I add the rest of the albums, along with all the 7" and 12" singles I think the value will double.
Who has their albums on the home insurance policy?

How about this for an oldie but goldie?
AC/DC - Dirty deeds done dirt cheap. It was signed by the band sometime in the late 70s - but I can't remember when (or even where ) it was signed as things were a bit hazy back then.
Top left - Cliff Williams (bass).
Top right - Phil Rudd (drums).
Middle - Malcolm Young (rhythm guitar).
Bottom right - Angus Young (lead guitar).
In all the years I've owned this album, I thought it also included Bon Scott's autograph but I can't find it for some reason.
