My bday today, I’ve added to my collection of vinyl by continuing to get new remastered 180g versions of various albums I’ve loved over the years . See pic :)

If you like vinyl new and old, share some albums you got recently

‘Charlie says always tell your mummy before you go off somewhere’ …

Awesome artwork! I've got the album on CD in the garage loft, but don't remember it having that art.

Gaz you absolute legend!

Go one better and get the PVD album 'Out There And Back', it has Another Way and Avenue on it 👍

Ok mate I’ll take a look although To be fair mate I’ve probably got the lions share of the tracks on 12”.
PVD is a legend. I think my fave is the Riddle, tell me why

I used to do a bit of DJ’ing back in the day and got a load of 12” singles from the 80’s that one of my sons has ‘borrowed’ as he does DJ’ing too😂🫣
Just checked his room, looks like he has taken the cream to Swansea uni👊

Not bought any recently but really must get a deck set up in the house😎

My most treasured 12" singles are:

New Order - Blue Monday - everyone must have (I have first pressing).
Animal Magnet - Welcome to the Monkey House - massive hit in brum and some parts of the uk.
Tintin - Kiss me (the 1982 not 1985 version).

For you who have no idea what Welcome to the Monkey house sounds like:

Never really charted but constantly sold in Birmingham over about 9 months.

I’ve got the prodigy experience album on vinyl, with those pictures of the band signed by the guys. I was lucky enough to hang out with them once back stage. My mate dj”d on the night they came to Yarmouth, when touring that album. They had a few signed copies, and I cheekily asked keef for one, and he obliged, which makes it more special for me, bless his soul.
Personally I’ve got 100s of twelve inch vinyl, as I used to DJ myself, the earliest tunes are from 88, through to early 2000s, been thinking of letting them go, as they just collect dust, think it’s time for someone else to play and enjoy them

We need to talk Steven. 🤣

This thread has got me thinking about my vinyl (what I call records!) collection, approx 2' wide of them, mostly rock albums up to the early 90s. What is the best way to sell on for min effort at a decent price?

Picked this up only last week:

I remember nicking that soft cell lp off my sister. Learnt to play bass guitar (badly) to a few of the songs on there. Loved “frustration”.

I was meant to be seeing Marc almond’s Loveless band at an awards show but it looks like he’s been replaced by the Cockney Rejects.

For everyone who wants to pay 50% more or 100% more for any re-issue - it is RECORD STORE DAY again.
Mainly absolute rubbish but a few good things.
Picked out 6

Never realised there was so many RSD releases - cash grab or what!
