The "Today I received" Thread

Magic eraser and ipa (not the beer!!) should strip the paint back without removing the artwork. Time consuming but could be worth it

NFC - 6 years maybe , it's in the queue behind Firepower, FP2, maybe SOF as well. However it is in the bloody way so might have a play around with it after Play Expo :D

TOTAN is very rare in the UK. I still get chew off the Mrs for swapping mine. I'm sure you will enjoy it.

Just got my Who Dunnit.

Only got a chance to get her on 4 legs and a quck turn on today. A heap of switches out and one of the inserts has a hole through to the cab but apart from that looks in pretty good shape.

I'll take a few pictures tomorrow and make myself a shopping list.

Anyone know any common issues I should check for right away?

Look what I found today!
I was shoping at the local DYS shop Formido (something like WallMart).
To my supprise they had a very nice alternative for the Magic Bus used in Junk Yard.
A scale model of the classic VW model of 1962.
It's just a bit smaller than the blue bus, but the price was only about 10 euro's.

....and they're fitted. They look great. BUT........they feel exactly the same height. What in the hell?!? How is that even possible??

That's coz they're the same height as the legs you already had on there as see in the second photo you posted where you've compared them...!!! :)

By the time you've added the feet to the new ones I'd guess max of 1/2 inch difference between the two...

Yeah, doesn't even feel like 1 mm difference. I'll measure it all up in the morning to be sure. Its the same feet that were already on there (which I bought new last year) so I would expect 1.5 inch difference when swapping out a 28.5 for a 27.

Measured up. I've lost 1". Lockbar now at 38". Doesn't feel any different. Need some 24" legs!!!!

I can provide specialist advice here, as "looking at a pic of two pinball machine legs that are the same height, and noticing that they are indeed the same height" is my particular field of expertise.

Drop the front leg levellers down as far as they go and crank the back ones up...might make it feel a bit better

Lol, I hope you don't charge for that advice. The old legs measure just under 26" to the top hole (not including feet), the new ones measure 24.5" to the top hole.

From studying the pic and using my "looking at pic of ...etc etc" specialist advice, I notice that you are correct.

Seriously though, the machine feels too high, isn't it at the height that the machine is supposed to be?

Whacking the front levellers down would help but raising back levellers up all the way too would mess with the game physics a bit.

You can get an extra 1/4" lower if you remove the lock nuts from the front levellers before attaching to the leg. I've done this to all my machines as l I'm fairly short, the pinshack floor is very level and then only have to have about 1" to 1.5" of height on the rear levellers to get the appropriate retro angle on my old solid state Bally pins.
