We can now confirm the worst kept secret in recent pinball history..

Northern Lights is back... We will be part of Play Expo on the 13th and 14th October 2012 to be held at Event City Manchester.

This years event will be bigger, much much bigger with 4000+ people per day visiting.

This is what you call bringing pinball to the masses in style.

There will be so much to do for the whole family with everything from Pinball through consoles and the Trafford centre is right next door.

We will be announcing ticket details and pin loyalty incentives etc at the Party in Aug.

Watch this space, www.ukpinball.com and http://www.facebook.com/NLPinball for more details.

Just a quick heads up on hotels for the show...

There are three Premier Inns all around the Trafford centre, the one we have booked in is Premier Inn North Traffod Centre, it worked out at £155 for Friday, Saturday and Sunday night, this is per room but doesnt include brekkie.

The event is right next to Costco and a large Asda and just across the road from the Trafford Centre which is full of eating places etc.

Yes Chris but there is a Costco and Asda about 400 yards away,,,

You will be able to get some of that exotic bottled beer you like..

I was gonna say the same - didnt realise the NBA tournament was already open for this one (Already registered for the one at UKPP)...

Sorry guys I meant at the Party... too many early morns and late nites all on the back of the Classic (but it was worth it)

NBA at NLP will be announced soon.

I didn't say that though.

What I meant to say is, what does NBA stand for?

NBA means National Basketball Association. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/NBA

NBA in pinball means the Bally/Williams version http://www.ipdb.org/machine.cgi?id=4023

These can be linked together to have 1 versus 1 games. This proved to be very popular at the South Coast Slam http://www.pinballnews.com/shows/southcoastslam2012/index.html

I hope that answers your question!

Got my tickets and accomodation already booked. If you aren't bothered about staying too close to the event then you can get £29 super saver rooms at Premier Inn

We can now announce our second comp of the show.

Phil of Pinball Heaven (www.pinball.co.uk/) has kindly offered to sponsor the kids free entry high score comp on the Sunday.

There will be a trophy for the child under 16 who achieves the highest score on a chosen pinball machine over the day.

Machine details will be announced on the day.

We will be starting to allocate NBA entries this weekend, if you still want to enter and want the same team you had at the Party you have until Sunday tea time to get your entry in to reserve it.

After this time teams will be allocated in order.

entries at www.ukpinball.com/nba_comp2012.html

The tournament is a total leveller, you do not have to be a great player to win, Dans dad Albert pin hustler Hardy came last at the classic but won all four of his league games in the NBA, well worth a look...

Theres some great players in this time, do I put them all in together or do I let them get beat by someone whos never played before ?....

mmm I will have to think about that (mr Potter can I borrow that hat you used in your films ?)
