There on the WCS94 while that one waits the return of black powder coating to be completed.Yes the legs do look a bit odd
waiting for parts is a pain.
It sure is. A bit faded but correct.
Mine is in great condition but....originally it wasn't put on smooth and has some wrinkles in it, daren't try and fix it.
Very common mine also.
After watching High end pins on YouTube, he is currently restoring a WH20.
I did put all the P clips back in the same position as before but now have ordered more to get the cables tighter to the cabinet.

Playfield went back in yesterday, only a couple of small faults to sort out which turned out to be connections.
Although I’ve got two new ramps on order I’m marking this as complete, it was always going to be a cabinet restore as over the years I’ve replaced loads of new parts on the playfield.

Definitely got slower in my old age, I don’t remember working on my T.Z, was I this slow !!

I love seeing these restorations on this forum, fills me with joy, knowing these beautiful machines have been painstakingly worked on, to make them look as good, if not better than new. And preserved to be enjoyed for many years to come.

The black square part of the transformer is the iron core(google how transformers are made) it is made up of of dozens of thin sheets and bolted and laminated together with the copper windings around it. The core is usually lacquered to prevent hum, so painting should be fine.

Great job Alan it looks a lovely pin. WH20 is one of the few older Ball/Will I’ve never owned and foolishly turned down one for £750 back in the day. I took a RS instead as my Car could only take one pin home from a long journey south.
Bonus was I kept RS 10yr as I loved the game so still a win for me.

Thank you for all your comments and support, this cabinet restore has been good therapy for me, not only do you meet new like minded people it puts me in a happy place. Seeing the cabinet so clean has put a smile on my face.
Of course I will do other jobs very soon not because it’s needed, they just stand out now.

Only replacing two ramps will stand out and make the others look far worse than they are.
I have done a couple of whitewaters and the only way to go if you change ramps it’s best to replace them all so it looks right. Just my opinion but seeing other machines with a single ramp replaced I know how bad it can look.

All the others are new, 2 are not, should arrive in a few days. Will add a photo of the playfield when I replace the ramps.
Like you say they stand out and need replacing, should of done ages ago.
Where did you get the speaker lighting kit from please ?
got the speakers from CPC which are now out of stock until December, Colywobbles made me the speaker lights which I connected up to my 12v supply. Stripped the speaker panel of all items, I then made a template up of the left speaker and marked the right side, jigsaw near the line and finished the final part with my router, touched up in black. It’s then ready for equal size speaker lights.
They Look much better than the photo shows.
I plan to do all my William machines.
