Is it just straight forward swap, no need to do anything with/disconnect the ballast or starter?

Straight swap, no disconnection needed. Due to the new lamps only being powered from one end it naturally takes the ballast out of circuit (that’s my understanding anyway) win/win

Yes, just swapped the tube and changed the starter which comes with the tube.

Cheers John for the side by side comparison. Looks great! Getting rid of that yellow tone and going for the whiter light looks really nice behind the Translite.

For some reason I can't get anything to work on the website, just see the title page but no links work and images don't display. Nothing is blocked, ad block is off, scripts enabled etc. No other sites have the problem, and it works fine on my phone. very odd.
