Gotg pro and Dead pool pro price

How much were AC/DC Premiums when bought new back in 2012?

I'll guess at not much more than £5.5k maybe?

Checked my invoices and mine was bought back in august 2013 for 5.7k nib from ph. So if i still had it and sold now it wouldn't really have lost much in all these years and at some previous points may have ended up with a small profit. Pretty good really.

Kind of illustrates the stinging pinflation of last few years as AC/DC Premium NIB last year was £7995.

40% increase in 5 years!

We didn't realise how good it was 5 years or so ago..... and before that of course.

I stupidly turned down a NIB Black SM for 4k in 2010:confused:

Never seen one for sale in UK since.

Or (glass half full) it illustrates how you can have a lot of fun with a nib game for a long time and still recoup your investment ready for the next game if you choose wisely

Agree totally, it was a fantastic time - but ( glass half empty ) - those days are gone now:rolleyes:

Can still have a ton of fun in this fantastic hobby :D

But, normality has returned in that for many it was a free hobby.

Not for me - never did time it right:D

All this talk of spike two games being north of 5k didn’t seem to apply to my Aerosmith when I put that up for sale and in my opinion it’s better than all of these mentioned and has the best PF toy . So I don’t think @chrisB you have that quite right .. also a Star Wars Pro went a few months on here for about the same as I sold my aero for less than 4.5k
Also you say about operators buying them , that also depends on operators having the money to buy them back
And most op’s the very few that are around unless buying new don’t want to pay 5k from what I can gather for an old game.

I am only going on fact with what I have bought and sold spike 2 games for
Aero Smith is the only spike 2 game I have never sold for under 5k the last one I did sell was for £4300 1 owner huo too a group member Very little interest in this game and zero interest among operators
The 2 iron maiden pro I sold have flown out the door at £5500 Lots of interest from home players zero interest from operators
The 3 gotg I have sold between £5250 and £5500 interest from home uses and ops
Never bought a sw pro yet but I would happily pay for one as I have customers after them ops and huo market
People on here think that we are the only people that buy Pinball’s I have many customers that never come on pin info
Also operators do still buy Pinball nib dp sold Friday to and op and sw massively sold to ops over huo people

I suspect all the new lcd sterns will hit similar prices sooner or later. Aerosmith is currently the cheapest but most of the others will come down. I think it’s a bit more of a niche title in the U.K. the same way Elvia was always cheaper than the other sterns

I like the game far more than gog. But I know I’m in the minority. The display is also frankly crap. Why not use classic live footage? Also it’s a strange choice of songs. Dream on is noticeably missing.

It will be interesting to see what happens to the price of iron maiden. I get the feeling lots have been sold so will that depress the 2nd hand market when they hit in 2 years time?

The problem lies with the the statement “2 years time” I’m sure there’s lots on here who have plenty of disposable income and like me find it hard to wait 2 years.
Generally a year or so after release we start to see decent code hitting most titles, reviews settle down after the next best pin hype and this giving us a chance to play them before committing.
This was the case for lots of lacklustre games like GOTG and that’s why I bought both that and a IM premium NIB a year after release.
My hope is that we have enough NIB buyers to keep this trend going, eventually drive down the price of the classics and in turn impact the newer stuff so we all win.
I personally would never pay more for a TAF, TOTAN, TZ ect ect than a DP, GOTG, IM ect ect. as the new breed of games take rules and gameplay to the next level leaving the classics way behind.
If anyone wants to give me enough money for my beautiful heavily modded 20yr old HUO TZ to pay for my next 2nd user Stern/JJP I’m happy to oblige but it will probably be when I see how Wonka and BK turn out a year from now with updates and reviews

Anyone buying a 2nd hand MMR mbr or afmr is probably paying roughly the same as the new 2nd hand sterns

People will always pay premium prices for the newest model. It will be interesting to see which ones keep their value over time.

I wish people could remember once the Brexit vote happened Dollar went from 1.5 to 1.3 overnight and has stayed there ever since.

I would like to know how much a new machine was in 2003/4 when we were getting $1.90-$2.00 to the pound?

Pretty sure they made quite a few Lord Of The Rings and Simpsons Pinball Party. Most probably less than 4k back then.

35 games in the noughties - I'd have 4 of them. Interestingly more games made then that this decade! Take it all back. Although I think games this decade have better gameplay and I'd have many more of them.

Yeah I reckon you're right sorry I was way off with 4k, that price seems more realistic when you think 90's Williams were 2 - 3k, DE and Sega were always cheaper than WMS/Bally, so it figures that Stern would be too if the race was still on.

Personally I think 2003 was one of the best years for new pinball :D love my TSPP and LOTR, the coding on these games makes some of the more recent efforts look pretty poor.

I think TSPP and LOTR were about 3k, I cant remember, I remember I did sell 50 LOTR!

Remember it well. I was negotiating hire of a special edition V8 Mustang for a road trip in the USA with one of the exotic car hire places at the time. Got $500 off the price due to my super negotiating skills. However, due to the exchange rate movement, it would have been cheaper to pay the full price the week before the vote!
