Anybody know the deal with the safecracker that just ended for £1700 on ebay? Was it Legit, seems very cheap for one of those?

He may be Highjon on here as the end of the listing says John n they're both in Glasgow, looking at the WOZ he has for sale??? ;)

I believe fireinmysoul guy is a different John to myself. He does live in the Glasgow area and is a respected pinhead, although I don't know him too well...
I am highjohn / john Higgins. fireinmysoul is John B ?, a different guy. Not john bud by the way!
I can vouch that John B s machines are normally top notch with no expense spared, all working 100% unless he states otherwise..
I cannot offer to view his machines on anyones behalf at the moment as I cant drive, due to a quite bad accident with a circular saw and my fingers :-(
In my experience, you can pretty much buy with total confidence from fireinmysoul/ john B.

lol, tbh I have been pumped that full of painkillers inc morphine lately, that I believe I'm a teapot :-)
thanks
john - also answers to Jock, stumpy & you stupid barsteward!

right, there's far too many John's in pinball. We need to start a cull;). And don't even get me started on the Matts/Daves. You'd figure Ivan would be relatively unusual but there's at least two of you buggers.

yeah! there used to be a lot of Nicks but we got the ukpinball secret service to sort that out, keep an eye on those Daves tho'

What's the actual difference between a TAFG and TAF? Surely not just the gold cab paint that he talks about?

From the IPDB:

"his edition has Gold accents, such as the metal ramps, gold legs and bolts, gold lettering, the vault plastic, the bumper caps and Thing's box. Each of the (only) 1000 "Gold" machines includes a certificate signed by the members of the design team and a gold plate, containing the machine number, on the lower right front of the machine."

There was also the Gold machine made to celebrate the record number of sales from the original run which meant a few had gold head and cab decals. I don't believe they had the playfield gold accents. If it was that record gold machine it might be worth a bit more of what that one is being sold for.
