We all know about Grizz''s awesome £200 wh20 score and how great a deal that was, but i'm afraid, that's now been beat:

pinball machine, judge dredd | eBay

:eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek:

Wow ...just wow ....*IF* it is legit then I surrender my ebay bargain crown

However I suspect they maybe meant to put £1400 not £140

You wouldnt put £140 BIN with a start point of £100 and invite offers. Seriously. And the quickest of searches would give rough value of way above that. Who knows.

1m 50seconds is how long the ad was up before the buy it now of £140 was made. Could be the ad was made on ebay mobile or as a quick punt for the seller without them realising its value. It certainly happened in your case, Grizz.

Either someone spotted it and couldn't buy it fast enough, or the seller intentionally listed it for the buyer for unknown reasons. If the latter was the case, then why bother with all the BIN options? I think its legit.

True dat. But its the invitation to make offers that clouds it. Start at £100, BIN £140 ....not much room for offers ? Thats why I think they meant £1400. Maybe we will never know.

If it were a mistake, and meant to list it at £1400, then they made the mistake twice as the start price should then have been £1000, right?

Lets see if anyone can put some light on this, maybe the person who bought it can say if they got a true bargin.
Anyone on here ?????????????

No. It would make sense bidding to open at £100, BIN £1400. Invite offers.

Or yeah ...someone clueless and sold it for peanuts.

I guess theres just too many options when listing an item to know exactly whats in a sellers mind. If it were myself I would offer a BIN of £1400, then have starting bids at smaller increments to encourage last minute bidders.

Great buy for someone if it is legit. I do hope its a total newb and not a shrewd pinball dealer that got it if that's the case.

Doubt it would sell for this even if the BIN price was correct. From past experience I have won a few bargains on ebay only for the machine suddenly not to be available. In one case the shed caught on fire
Only one that ever worked out was a £250 TZ. In this case the seller honoured the bid even though he had a load of offers.
Sorry to say a few of the pinball community are prepared to do this to get the machine they want as well as dealers.

Couple of treats appeared. A HS from the 1970's apparently and a Firepower with some artistic licence!! Shame as it's only down the road from me and I wouldn't mind one of those

eBay 111224706015 DE Hook

Not a bad profit if it comes off. Paid £500 BIN on the 13th. Should have bought it when I saw it, but then again I didn't want it and left it for someone else.

I'm going to have to get rid of my conscience and make some money.

Fishtales on eBay.

Gotta love this card

No pf wear!! Except the load of insert wear in the pics

And open to sensible offers. But has no BIN price

I'm confused

Really can't see that shifting. There's been a few Hooks sell recently and none of them have got anywhere near £1500.

I guess for everyone who's part of the community and wants to see Pinball to grow and be accessible there will be someone else who's just interested in using it as a means to make money. Shame, but each to their own I guess.

If it's the one I'm thinking of, there are loads of high res pictures in the description. Looks in pretty good nick. Not perfect but not bad either.

It was a 7/10 pf imo. Bit of wear on some inserts and a lot of money at £4100. Mental when you think I bought a TAFG for £2800 with a 10/10 pf

That TAF was my old one. Bought it from Tony in Leciester I think it was, it had Mylar all over it and a cloud decal. Bob (seller now) ought it off me, removed the Mylar and cloud decal and it was OK underneath. Stripped it and cleaned it up. If I recal I sold it to him for £2400

Is this being shilled? eBaunpaid bily UK Item Bid History

The 9***s guy keeps pushing the price up, wouldn't you just bid your Max rather than chipping away like that?

Personally I wouldn't bother with or worry about an Ebay machine at this time of year - pins *generally* do tend to go for that bit more during the Xmas run up, bidders prepared to pay more and sellers looking for more.

More chance of regular pricing in Jan/Feb when people realise the annual festival of mass consumerism has yet again left them broke and no happier :D
