Is it working then :) ?

Perfect ;)

I wish! she needs alot of work but after fiddling with connections I have a few flashing lights but thats about it.
Lots of acid damage on the MPU board etc.

A nice surprise was the condition of the PF, A couple of touch ups and I should be able to get it pretty mint. Its also not wood-Its a resin type composite item? A great touch as its been outside for a LONG time and the body is in really bad shape.
I will put up a thread shortly.

One was originally listed as Dark Knight, must have been his long lost brother...

Yes it is. Cheeky ****ers, adding a quick £400 on to it...

And he's the guy selling the Outrun repro stickers things, that some guy one jamma+ made :(

Some prices amaze me. £699 to have a cabinet restored which doesn't include artwork or shipping? So the original cabinet is just sanded, filled and painted (no artwork) and that's worth £800 by the time it's been shipped..... Erm...

Perhaps I'm missing something but it seems rather a lot. Happy to be corrected though...

This was one of my issues with my "run in" with Manny a while ago. Whilst I'm sure (and from what i have seen) his work is of a very high quality, there are others who offer the same services however at much cheaper price. What people have to understand though (and i know from personal experience) is that it takes an age to do this simple task to a high standard. With my current Wh20 it has taken me around 10 hours to sand/fill/sand/fill/primer/paint the head.... Just the head.... Ok i'm a little bit of a perfectionist, however it takes an age to prepare these things, and the end product is directly affected by the prep work - if the prep work is crap, the end product will also be crap...

It might be easier to build from scratch rather than repair. I mentioned this to a mate of mine a while ago who is a cabinet maker and skilled joiner, and he reckoned he could build a cabinet from scratch from marine-ply very easily. I was convincing him (looking at some of these prices) that it might be worthwhile but I don't really know what the size of the potential market would be.

A skilled cabinet maker and joiner should have no problems at all to build a new backbox/cab. In fact I have the plans for a cab should you need them. However, the prohibitive costs of materials and more likely costs of time push the costs up on something like this...

If you're a one man band in your house garage no problem but otherwise you have to factor in business costs which can very easily add up... :(

Just wondered whether in the winter months when it's quiet he could knock a few together in his workshop, paint 'em and flog 'em.

"Original Addams family pinball machine playfield used good condition "

Wear starting around inserts, wear starting to go around Mansion.....

  • Overall in good condition with a deep shine
  • Mansion area has minor wear as per photos
  • Minor wear to a number of inserts as per photos
  • Minor wear on right of swamp which is difficult (but possible) to see with plastics fitted
  • Light ball track marks to the upper area of the playfield which cannot be seen when populated with ramps and plastics
  • Wear to electric chair kick out hole - this was completely covered with a cliffy but I have removed it to show all issues - this will be included if you would like to re-fit it
  • No magnet burn
  • All original mylar fitted to playfield - all in excellent condition with exception of area over 'G' and 'R' blue arrow inserts - the mylar has bubbled very slightly here, it can be removed if desired but it is not noticable when the machine is running

Obviously a different interpretation of "Used good condition" than i was expecting!!
