For anyone considering the Fish Tales on Ebay:

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Williams-...201853?hash=item51e8547bfd:g:5tIAAOSwsTxXkivo

Looked at this briefly earlier today as know the seller but didn't realise it until today. He's selling on behalf of a friend whose husband has passed away and he's no pinball guy, so some further info here:

HUO since new and inside the cabinet shows it, very nice and clean.
Cabinet good, couple of small knocks/chunks out on corners of backbox. Couldn't see any fade.
Playfield good with no wear I could see, needs a little cleaning but will be nice when done.
Plastics and ramps good.
Switches on and plays but some faults need attention:

Rubber band around reel from motor needs replacing.
Two inlane switches out on left side.
Both slingshot armature links have broken and need replacing.
Fish in topper didn't flap (but may be turned off, forgot to check)

Didn't go through with a fine toothcomb as didn't have time, but appears £20 or so in parts and some time could achieve a nice machine.

Party Zone also listed appears HUO. Needs a new line filter so currently isn't switching on. I'm obtaining one to fit for him. Batteries have leaked slightly but couldn't see any gunk or corrosion on the board. Expect a new battery compartment required. Cab and playfield good otherwise, just a bit of a clean needed from what I could see from brief look. Cab faded front left side as been in vicinity of window. Couldn't test play yet....

Yeah I liked freddy mine was pretty mint, but never liked the feel of the flippers they kind of felt weak laggy even though they where fully rebuilt, never played any other gottiebs to compare but stargate looks fast and packed I have also heard people saying shaq attack is cool just a bad theme

No.I have messaged him, whether he'll see it or not .....

Thanks @Sgt GrizZ - However yup it looks like the other that went for 410, and he's now trying to flip it out for £1k. No thank you :)

Sgt did Message me - however i thought it looked like the one last week.... Nice to see i wasnt the only one that thought that!

Thank for the Heads up tho Sgt - The search continues :(

These night moves do come up. I think this is the third sale (4th if you include the flip) I have seen in the past 18 months

Didn't realise it had already been up. If it was working at £410 that was a steal for sit-down disco pinball with explosions.

they have been pulled which is a shame.
I thought they would go the distance.
I was going to have a tickle at the fish tales.

Getting offers, considering and accepting with a pull before end of auction is the way these days with Ebay taking such a sizeable chunk.

PZ has been pulled as needs a repair. As the Fish Tales buyer did, PM me for contact details if interested in it.

You know what these bloody games are like when you buy from non-pinheads. Time, time and more time. The rubbers on this so dry that they are splitting in places. The shooter coil pathetically weak

Once i roll my sleeves up i am bound to find some nasties

You wouldn't clean it without replacing rubbers anyway.... would you? Remember the guy was unable to play them for many years before he snuffed it. Just think how good you'll feel after you've done it. :D

Am quietly optimistic this one will come up a treat. Fresh rubber top of the list

Look at this on eBay
Williams no fear pinball machine

I suppose that's one way to freshen up decals, guess who got a tin of spray paint for Christmas!

Looks dodgy to me. I see auctions like this all the time for Roland Jupiter 8's (one of the kings of the synth world) used by scammers due to the demand and high price they achieve. Bad English/spelling, request to ring mobile, single pic etc.... all the signs are there. If you really had one of these to sell, reckon you'd spend more time providing pics. It doesn't cost to add more.
I understand people's comments about the price but I'm surprised that people think this is a scam. I guess I'm a bit naive but I see lots of badly photographed and described eBay items. He gives a postcode and invites viewings...what would the next step of his scam involve if you asked to see the machine?

paragon is a truly exceptional game. I prefer playing it to centaur and fathom. Awesome art too.

The best value for money bally ss you can buy imho

This backglass isa shot. But no matter, still a superb title. See bowen's papa video.

Presentation of a knife and demand for the money in your pocket? Extreme I know.... the offer of viewing could indiciate it's genuine, only a telephone call would sound them out I suppose. The rest of it though has trademark indicators. Go for it, let us know how you get on. ;)
