Anybody on here got the tz off eBay that finished last night? Looked like a good price for a tz... is that the going price?

Item no 141901266766. Can't figure out how to paste the link from the ebay app. Went for 2651.

ebay fees really hit at this level. getting £2400 in your hand for a TZ (supposedly top of the ratings on some lists) would peeve a lot of sellers. never liked the game never will. always been a good cash cow and never denied it!

It looks a nice, vibrant one from the snaps. But pinballs often look much better on ebay than they do in the flesh

I would remove the glass and test everything you can see - all the switches, pop bumpers, slings, shake it to test the tilt etc. look at every plastic and ramp. Progress through the modes, locks, multiballs etc. Stick head underneath it to check the floor. Look at the boards for hacks. Look at the wiring looms for hacks

Don't feel pressured to buy it. Quite a few of these are often in good cosmetic condition and come up for sale regularly

Did anyone spot that Bally Space Invaders on gaybay for £399, without a head though... Barn find... thoughts??

Hard not to see it... it's been on there for months at that price hoping for some sucker to buy it. It will be quicker, cheaper and easier to buy a complete working example!

I reckon that the artwork is the only good thing about it. The gameplay is very slow - balls just travel across very slowly being so wide.

very slow. didn't like it when new. the physics don't really work as its a stretched silverball mania. however artwork is superb and it sold by the bucket load . had more of these than any other game - 54

Surely the speed is down to how you set the machine up? A local friend used to have one setup in his hallway and I remember having many a manic game on that one trying to get the damn ball under control. I'd probably pick one up in the future if I ever see a decent project for the right money. The art is definitely better than the gameplay, but still though, I might have one someday

The guy trying to sell the base on ebay for 400 is just being silly, it's worth £100-£150 tops, every piece of metalwork top and bottom of the machine is rusty, the apron is knackered, significant watermarks in the bottom of the cab.

The head is fairly unique to the machine with the 2 layer backglass and infinity lighting. After buying the boards and glasses and making a head, you might as well have spent the money on a working machine, and thats before you refurb the playfield and deal with all the rust.

Who got the judge dredd at 1220? The guy told me he wanted 1600 cash for it. Would of had to of made nearly 1800 to get that.
I offered him £1300 for it but would need a look at it first and it was only just over an hour away from me but he said he was looking for £1700 no less so left him to it.

I put £1200 on it but was outbid....not paying more than that for an average jd. Remember it's an eBay sell so it will not be fully working (he says stating the obvious). Only did this as I have a regular customer who wants one.:D;)

Will TAF ever stabilise or fall in price? I know you guys that own one hope it never does but the prices for an old machine are unreal..
I so wish I'd had the foresight to have bought one 10 years ago...
I blame my wife for not letting me have one. Grrrrrrr

Never say never but it's one of the most resilient games when it comes to price fluctuations...especially down :) It appeals to the widest demographic and everyone who gets into pinball wants one along with all those people who aren't collectors but just want that one game they played in the past which in a lot of cases is TAF. It's also the greatest pinball machine ever made....which helps :D
