A pile of tyres in the photo of a pinball for sale iś the traditional hallmark of quality and careful stewardship. Similarly the barbed wire fence ....

The exhaust pipe leaning against the cab of that poor big guns is further evidence of diligent ownership. And it does look like the lw3 topper might have a bullet hole in it

Buy these bad boys at your peril

how would you know what the condition was by whats in the back ground of the photos ? also what does diligent mean? i would have thought at a grand they was worth a punt

@andrew.m

I just think that pinball has the potential for a lot of wild goose chases. If you buy from here, someone like @ronsplooter or @ianw (i have bought games from both of them) you are buying from an enthusiast that cares about pinball. Chances are you will get a good game, carefully described. THere are loads of guys on here that painstakingly maintain games that they first carefully selected

When you buy from ebay, as i have also done, it is russian roulette.

Plenty of clowns/ crooks/ liars on e bay ..... SO buyer beware and do not overpay

Utter nonsense. Crooks everywhere. Price is what the person who wants it most will pay.

1) ask plenty of questions. Pink frogs don't hide too well.
2) risk is the spice of life. Forget your head, forget your wife, go with your gut, man. It always looks out for #1.

Just cause Andrew is a mechanic and funny enough works in a garage where there are things like tyres, exhausts and other stuff for cars does not mean there is anything dodgy about anything he sells.
He's one of the most honest trustworthy people I know, he tells it how it is and doesn't cover anything up or bend the truth. I have bought plenty of stuff from him as well as loads of other people on here have and always been happy with everything I've bought.
Andrew has been dealing with pinball for years and is one of the good guys.
To many people who have just entered the hobby need to know who's greenhouse they are throwing stones at, or just keep a lid on there so called witty don't buy from this guy post.

does my auction make me one of these then @DRD am i missing the point of your post, are you missing the point of a auction ? all machines regardless of condition or who owns them have a price whether its just a scrap price i handle tons of machines and i don't have time to play with them does that make me a crook a clown or a liar I'm not sure .i struggle to up load pictures on this site does that make me thick as well what i would like you to do is remember for every one machine you sell between your mates i will sell 30 I've owned every bally williams gottlieb data east sega and nearly all the sterns so i very much doubt you can tell me any thing about pinball or any amusement machines full stop

Chill out mate, that comment he quoted wasn't even talking about you ffs.

what i would like you to do is remember for every one machine you sell between your mates i will sell 30
Why don't I see all those sales on your eBay sellers page?

If ever you come across a creature from the black lagoon just let me know pal. [emoji106]

Fair enough. Might want to update that MM listing to say that it's a remake, rather than an original.

EDIT: Yeah I know, they didn't make an LE original

If communication is to be censored so it is only allowed where you know 100 per cent of the facts and you are deemed to be 100 per cent competent to talk about them, life would turn very quiet and very dull. This forum would close down.

In the real world, folk make the best time constrained decisions they can using imperfect information and their imperfect brains.

I find this thread one of the most interesting and sometimes amusing on the forum. It îs basically about folk sharing observations to help others. Some accurate, some inaccurate. Sharp eyed folk spotting and sharing games advertised in "off grid" lòcations, games they once owned, good candidates for renovation, credit dots, stolen goods, fraudulent sellers, corroded boards, missing parts, rare prototype games, possible bargains, outrageously priced games ...

We all know that auctions represent an opportunity to bag a bargain, or get screwed, or waste time, or meet truly decent sellers who make wonderful cups of tea ...

If, as was the case yesterday, that I do not know the seller of a game - I have to extrapolate based on what time I have, what I can see, what I do know. I could be wildly wrong - but the thresholds of 100 per cent knowledge and 100 per cent competence are simply inaccessible to me.

As of yesterday, using imperfect knowledge and my imperfect brain, the dead Flash I commented on looked a more attractive proposition to me than the LW3 s and Big Guns. And I speak as someone who would be interested in owning a Flash and a Big Guns one day

That folk I have met have now given me the knowledge that the seller of the Big Guns is a decent fellow greatly increases my confidence in the proposition, and if 7 of my games weren't languishing in storage as I have building work going on I would make the trip to Nottingham to view them. Hopefully via Annie's Burger Shack' or the Cods' Scallops

Peace and Love

Andrew there's no rule thst you have to post pics, just post a list with prices. If the prices are good they will still sell. Seems a shame to export them.

I'm looking for an Avatar or Batman Dark
Knight if you get them in

You a politician David? If not, you should be ! ;)

I saw that one, seems quite a bit over the going rate though, I know it's got some extra bling but I'm not really looking for that.

I would like to try one, but also dont need the bling and think £2.5 would be my limit on Avatar
