Bit optimistic without translite :D, I turned one down for circa £800 about a 16 months ago, when I realised it was worth having it had gone DOH

someone must have a made a custom repo with a proper MJF image, surely?

He's not too bad on the backglass, it's on the playfield where it looks nothing like Michael J Fox! Unfortunately the bit of the game you are looking at a lot :-o
Being a huge bttf fan personally that would annoy the hell out of me. The reason i haven't got the machine, although still thinking about getting one. Michael j fox has never really seemed interested about the movies since they filmed. Yes, he's done abit with the recent back to the future day but hardly anything for the past 25 years. Whereas Christopher Lloyd did the animated series and various bits and bobs for adverts. He even appeared in the Seth Mcfarlane film 'a million ways to die in the west'. Youtube this scene! It's brilliant! Even with some of the recent interviews Chris Lloyd was asked if he would do a bttf 4. His reply was ''You bet your ass!"
He absolutely loves it!

"Genuine and original Addams family pinball machine with no modification other than fused magnets and gold edition soft wear I have never seen another machine in better condition all working fine very little wear .fast becoming a collectors item would make a great Xmas present"

Didn't realise there were counterfeit TAF's out there?, think this is no longer fast becoming but is a bona fide collectors item, would make a great xmas present, bit of a bugger to wrap, stash and sneak under the tree though.

The I am going to SHOUT AND SHOUT AND SHOUT sales technique, with THREAT too .....

"THIS MACHINE IS A TRUE ONE OFF AND HAS COST OVER £1,000 TO RESTORE TO THIS CONDITION If unsold at this price I WILL PUT INTO A SPECIALIST LONDON AUCTION AFTER CHRISTMAS. THIS MACHINE WILL ONLY EVER INCREASE IN VALUE! Christmas is coming. This is a "One-off" as a present!"

And despite all the HYPE AND SHOUTING, the stencilling work looks clumsy

hah! The fact is though, EM's don't increase in value.

There are certain super desirable titles that can go for huge amounts of money, but most EM's never go over £200-£300

If at first it doesn't sell......raise the price to a ridiculous level for the condition in the hope that it convinces someone it's worth it!!!!

I think that's all the proof we need that it was shilled up as I said. Funny the sale has not completed twice in the £700ish range, and now he has double the start price. What a c-nut

BALLS! Got outbid on the Whirlwind

!PROJECT FEVER!

@chris b don't forget to swap the whirlwind and earthshaker display panels over! I am going to bid on the earthshaker next, and it is going to be a massive pain in the ar$e to try and find the right panels for the right machines

eBay is a moral sewer these days. 50 per cent chance it will all be lies Mark. But a 50 per cent chance it ain't all lies

Lincoln to Luton. Wad of notes in the glovebox. Fine roadside cuisine. System up. Hydraulic truck rattling in the boot. Does life get any better ?

I had a monopoly off the Luton guy aa few years ago and his games room was very tight. Game was immaculate as was his LOTR which I stupidly turned down. I'm sure the TSSP is superb too. Maybe if someone could bag it for 3500 would be good. Maybe someone local could view and report?

That home use only TSPP will be snapped up sharpish. It says make an offer and the guy seems legit if someone here has already seen his setup, the game is known to be a top title and known to last, and it costs 3K, if you can find one, even in average condition. I reckon he'll get 3800+ and that it's worth at least that.

Genuine HUO popular titles will hold their value in years to come like classic cars, as any 'vault' remakes will only be made cheaper and with more built-in obsolescence- disco looms, unrepairable boards, ever so slightly thinner plastic, ever so slightly weaker metalwork ...... I know which I'd rather have (nice original vs new remake) if it ever came to it.

mark my words!

The fact is that he hasn't even put webbing on the cabinet. If you are going to restore and charge crazy money, at least do it right! Top price for a restored em in last few years is £15000 so they can go for top dollar. This is not a desired title, artwork is lame etc etc

Who knows. I fully suspect pinball will slump again, interest will wane. The current blip of hipster interest in all things retro in the popular media will only carry it along so far. Barcades etc ??? Lets see where they all are in 10 years time. No matter how many articles and features there are by hip young things the brutal fact is most folk into pinball collecting are in the 35/40+ demographic. Just have a look around you at shows, league meets, my house . As collectors age they will thin out collections, lose interest. Can't see enough new blood collectors coming along to keep the current trend for ever spiralling prices.

Slightly grumpy GrizZ on a Monday morning

When the next generation grows up they too will have mid life crises! But whether or not they will have the same disposable income if they're not able to get on the property ladder remains to be seen I guess.

I would have made an offer on that Simpsons if it had come up a month ago, but I'm sorted now. If there is no button wear that is pretty rare on a TSPP, most I've seen are worn or button wear is covered by new side rails.

I think/hope/pray prices will level out soonish, but I believe the pinball movement is gathering steam, I haven't been to enough expos to see the kid to adult ratio but my passion has spread to my dad (who now let's me use his garage and soon a room in his house to shelter pins from the cold ;)) and to my nephews and brother who keep asking which pin can they 'borrow' and I'm sure my girls will love it as they grow up. ...just the missus left to convert and as long as they all remain £500 she's not too fussed either!

the logic dictates that its the games with top themes that will having staying power as the marker is bigger. terminator 2 simpsons back the future star wars lotr . At the Kettering POA show in the late nighties a seasoned collector Ray Foster told me pinball was dead . this was a show when i couldnt sell a working bride for £150. The demise of Williams in 2000 seemed to confirm this assumption but look where we are now!
