Some more brilliant sales patter. This time on a broken classic Bally SS Star Trek with backglass cellulite ...

"Great Restoration Project for somebody with an electrical Mind - or just pay for it to be restored !"

This one is about 5 mins down the road from me, asked questions about it, he was vague.

The guy that I think is selling it has a shop that sells models and scalextrix stuff called Car Crazy in Bawtry, Doncaster.

He is simply wanting too much, price has gone down but it keeps going up on ebay, then being taken off and then it's back up again a week later.

problem with Bally star trek is in 2015 its just not very playable. even on eBay I would doubt a fully working restored one would top £1k. die hard trekkies only. have a framed glass. best thing about it really

I went to look at @Andy_B Road Kings last week and it was the nicest I've ever seen. A top notch restoration with excellent attention to detail. Congrats on getting that price mate

Thanks for that Chris, much appreciated:)

I might add that no-one is as surprised as me at the price. I had the usual messages asking for BIN and I cheekily asked for £750. I'm glad no-one took me up on it :D

Another turd to polish

oh hang on its for big foot to squat behind

I think this suspicious one is going to hit crazy money. Bet some nutter takes it over a grand.

It's a great and desirable game no doubt, but to pay big money, does a game not need to be fully working and or nice cosmetically?
Well exactly. I'd rather buy a dirt cheap rotter and source a replacement playfield or pay good money for a nice one.

Not surprised seller should have been more upfront about it from the start total **** if. you ask me

Agreed, still would have bet money on it going for over 1k with the way prices are at the moment and "project fever"

Oh well, hopefully if its at least partially working, and the new owner can get the playfield touched up well, it's not going to be too bad

It is a bit of a rare one, less than 1k made according to the mighty ipdb. I suppose if that era of game floats your boat then it's a rare chance to nab one.

I'd not trust the condition or photos though.

Surely if its rare enough to want to buy it in that condition, with the replaced plain wood side and rust and all, you'd have to go look at it and do a cash deal, not buy blindly

800 sovs for a battered Star Trek?

Sheesh... o_O

Then again I thought £450 for that battered old Space Shuttle project was kinda ok so I guess worth is a very personal thing.

Earthshaker is frickin awesome. I love it. Miss mine. Only thing that lets it down is the inability to relight the jackpot. So once you've claimed it, multiball is effectively pointless.

Someone on here please save this, would make a great shop log. Plenty of bits around for Earthshakers ....

@Nedreud ??

Holy crap, that is a project  Basically a cab and a fecked playfield - no boards or display. No backglass ...and we know how easy it is to source an ES backglass  :D

That would be some mission. Have at it @Nedreud ;)

ES is AWESOME. I miss my old one but luckily my bro has it now. I think I actually prefer it to its sister game Whirlwind, even with the slightly simpler ruleset. 'Earthshakerrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr !!!!!!!!'

Took me a year to sell my spare es backglass. I've got a hi res scan if any use. I presume the shaker motor is missing

Sorry folks, got no space for any more pins, even to store. And spent too much money buying spares for repair. Time to actually do some repairs and sell some stuff!
