Something extremely smelly going on with that Fathom. We have arguably the top Bally SS title going unsold.

Is the game is a piece of crap ?

Or is the seller is a piece of crap ?

Or are they a double decker, slap down, tag team of crap ?

Im torn between Fathom and Centaur as top Bally game. Only result really is to have both. Back in the 80s it was EBX that was most popular for private use , very desirable for home pool rooms

And just checking the history, bidder number 2 bid up 17 times in a row, so it looks like the shill account was the second highest bidder, hence the re-list at 700, unless anyone here was bidder number 2?

does anyone know about ride-on kiddy toys like this one?

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/coin-oper...3fff262&pid=100102&rk=1&rkt=4&sd=321891537790

he says it doesn't work but lights up. what shall i ask for pictures of to ensure that everything is there?
is anyone here the seller, or also thinking of bidding?
how much do these things go for?

my son would love it as a Christmas present if i could get it working. these things also make a fortune wherever they are i think

No but it's cool as hell. My boy would love it.
Can't be much too it!! A motor and some belts etc.. Even if it doesn't work it's cool to play in for the kids

let's not bid against each other, but if you like, you can have it after me - you have a younger one than me i think so may find it fun for longer

So do you actually want it for your son, or have you just been sucked in by the 'pinballesque' marketing of " HOWEVER WHEN PLUGGED IN ALL THE LIGHTS COME ON SO DON'T THINK THERE IS MUCH WRONG WITH IT"???

Probably worth checking it's large enough for dads to fit into as well so you can get more enjoyment out of it!

ah boll_ocks it's north of Inverness and he wouldn't deliver.
i don't think Martin is too keen on going up that far either, how much are routine couriers?

The Earthshaker has a Whirlwind display panel in; reckon it's gotten swapped over with one of that pair of Whirlies, which had an Earthshaker display panel?

a faulty kiddie ride is probably a false economy unless dirt cheap as full working ones can come up sub £200 if you are patient. there isn't a lot to them but the newer games would use surface mount dedicated pcbs. my poor ickle BRUM car needs work but was ok for a freebie

definitely not road legal lol. it does light up and go into attract but wont credit up. hopefully not too tricky a fix

well it's 5 mins to go and still dirt cheap, so if i get a delivery quote under £100 and if i can get it for less than £100, i will go for it

Did you win it? Hadfields have delivered a fruity to Inverness for me. Don't imagine a middle ride will be over a £100 to collect

Wow! That BRUM brings back memories! My son loved BRUM and the ride that used to be outside Budgens. Sadly the shop has closed and my son, now 12, prefers Counter Strike: Global Offensive, although he did admit to liking WHITE WATER best when we went to Special When Lit ;)

What is this 'no space ' you speak of ?.....

<looking around the GrizZ Shack with 10 machines fighting over the space for 8> :cuckoo::D
Mmm...

May have a solution to the "no space" problem. Have decided it might be time to move house. Going to look at a place with an external 18' 7" x 9' 5" (5.66m x 2.87m) garage! ;)

Only problem then will be the definite "no money" issue but at least I'll be able to work and play with oodles of space on my current 3 pin collection! :D

Any views on the Hook on ebay before i show some interest? Not the most popular game but i like it. Faults seem fairly minor. Good sub 1k dmd?

Yep, I ended up with the not-working helicopter and a fully working Postman Pat for £151 the pair. One can go in my garage so my little lad can ride while I play or tinker.
That's his Christmas present sorted.

Thanks for the tip re Hadfields

Much as I like HOOK I think the cab looks scruffy for that kind of money, the Jackbot and Indy 500 on here for sale look better value

Sounds good, you'll be able to teach him the value of money, how to spend his pocket money.

Also you get to use it as a piggy bank (pin bank)

Sounds like a win win situation!
