i think this guy needs to start getting questions from interested would-be-buyers.

for one thing, he has clearly copied the text and photos from another ad i have found by googling the text, which makes his sale seem fraudulent to me.

I can't see how eBay will. Its as good as written in his messages to you that the machine was fully working when he bought it, you can't be held responsible for what happens after that. It sounds like an easy fix anyway, people like him shouldn't buy pins.

Don't fret mate, just remind him he bought a 20 year old machine that was working and there are plenty of people who can repair it. It's his choice to sell and if he contacts you in any way again you will contact the police and start a harassment claim. Your video was your video not his and he had no rights to use it. End of.

I didn't think i had the paypal option but he paid with them before i got chance to say cash on collection. Then went into my garage and took it for himself

i already did, on the basis outlined above. i suggest others do likewise.
he stole your ad, after stealing it from your house, and after agreeing that it worked fully when he got it.
it came with no guarantee. this guy is a king canute and needs aruddy good punch on the bottom.

Ah. But your advert said no refunds yes?

And it was fully working, just ring ebay up :)

Thanks Dan

Don't get too concerned by it all Darren, it's just standard ebay process: just follow the process, keep it all calm and unemotional, with just the facts, and you'll be fine. Don't respond to any communications he makes outside of this ebay returns process now, and try and resist the temptation to reply to any of the standard ebay process emails requesting more info. immediately they arrive with you (if there even are any more)...give it a few hours or over night, then you'll be replying while calm.

Haha. Which Liam is he, what's the name on the PayPal receipt

In fact he's also selling it with "no faults", despite saying that there is a problem with it - another Ebay reportable offence (and also illegal!)

He says he will take £1k for it. Waiting for him to reply about any faults..
