when you sell on ebay you accept their terms and that now means if someone wants to return YOU have to pay for it and use an online trackble courier

golden rule is AVOID PAYPAL AT ALL COSTS even if you loose a sale. ebay are not interested in private sellers / fraud / scammers

Just sent a message to him entitled "Don't be a dick" saying the following....

You best back down with your threats mate, there are a lot of us in "the community" that know about this machines history and what you have been saying to the previous owner, just saying!

I agree with Dan, it this knob rot excuse of a man gets enough messages tuning him in" he will get the message, get sending guy's

That's the beauty of a screenshot. Haven't accused him of saying anything... just shown everybody in a picture what's been said.
Thanks Matt. Just trying to let it settle down and hopefully that will be the end of the matter.
Believe me theres plenty of times I've wanted to reply with how i real feel about him but sometimes it's best to bite your tongue.. or your fingers in this case.

He's a proper sociopath. Nice one Dan and Matt standing up to him. Did anyone point him to this forum thread to read what people think about him?

I thought that they had return at their cost using trackable postage as ling as it wasnt a "Significantly not as described"....

Breaking and entering.... Attempt to defraud... Threatening ABH.... The list is getting longer :D What is it they say... give someone a long enough rope...

Just read this, what a complete and utter ball bag, spenk of the highest order. Pond life like this don't deserve nice things like pinball machines.

The fact that he trespassed on your property and helped himself to your garage and took the machine shows what sort of scum you've unfortunantely had to deal with. Wouldn't be surprised in the slightest if he helped himself to anything else whilst he was there.

Best of luck dealing with this, I don't think I would have been anywhere near as charitable, don't have time for people like this at all.

Moosey is in Rochdale, maybe he could pay our friend a visit and put him in the chair! ;)

Serial number? What the hell is he on about does he not realise it's 20 years old and prob had as many owner, complete and utter clueless kununt

"Now sit down children and I'll tell you a story". Some time ago in a far far place, someone had a Apollo 13 for sale. His name was ?( the king of gifs ). I'd never met the chap and still never have. He could slap me across the face and I'd still not know who he was. I communicated with him and arranged a collection. I even didn't know what I was buying, condition wise that is but because of his exuberance with photos and honesty I knew I had a solid and true buy. He was unable to be there for the collection(pinball comp elsewhere) but gave me detailed instructions how I could obtain it from him without him being there. I transferred said monies before collection, collected my A13 and even sent extra monies to buy me raffle tickets (I hope I win). My raffle tickets were sent, I did not take anything other than what was sold, but I was concerned that the rachet strap that was there belonged to him and not me. I texted him and he said it was " the law " that the strap stayed with the machine. I was very happy with my noob first experience on this forum and trust so many even without meeting them. I've collected glass for Steve and others have collected/bought from him. I've been to RGV's for my 1st experience and can't thank him enough. I know windowsnot and have had many conversations with others that I have still not met but hope to at this coming meet in Manchester. Hats off to all. Without this forum, buying pins for us noobs would be a feckin nightmare. Thank you

I commented a couple of weeks ago that this ebay thread was quiet.... and then this happened. Took me 30 min to read all i had missed! Good to see the community standing up to bullies. I don't like it when people make threats. I have used ebay to buy and sell in the past and i didn't enjoy selling. Some people have this expectation that something used will be as new and i don't have time to deal with the hassle that comes with it. Good luck Darren. I hope it gets all resolved in the end to your liking.

Much as it sucks. If he paid by Paypal I suspect that they will simply reverse the payment. I know you won't want to hear this but I suspect they will find on his behalf

Bottom line is he's obviously a total tool but if he tells Paypal and linked into a C Card then he would legally be covered.

Sorry to say it but sometimes the twats win.

Hope it works out for you
I second that, again not want I want to write but from experience (something I'm going through now on a non pinball related item), paypal will freeze the money and side with the buyer, definitely initially, you can then dispute it when the item is returned stating that is was not in the same condition when you got it back (which it clearly wasn't), that's when it gets complicated and who knows the outcome but that is generally the procedure.

If your add said no refunds in the options then you are covered. If not eBay will always side with the buyer!
This also depends on your status, business etc, you are required to offer a returns policy like it or not if you are operating as a business (to my understanding at least)
