Ok - so just feeling the water on this one... prices etc are not confirmed at this point...

Specs...

Rpi based
Wifi Connectivity to allow updates, with the ability to connect to an internal webpage to configure/reconfigure.
Nearly 2000 animations (in colour!)
-1800 animations arcade / consoles
- 150 animations of pinball in mode story (duration between 30 and 1min30)
Desktop version has a small 3d printed frame. A much more expensive (£70) acrylic frame is also available.
Clock has the ability to Dim dependant on the time of day... Darker overnight, lighter during the day.

This one is a desktop version - 33cm wide, 11cm high.

I may consider a larger one too if the demand is there (Wall clock similar to the older ones i did)

EDIT - The one i have in the Pic is my prototype... and the panels dont line up in the centre.... by fault.. V2 to come :)

They wont be cheap... the last ones weren't ( I think they were around £300 each).

As a guide (and a rough guide ONLY) - Desktop one probably looking around £150ish plus post on the desktop clock... I CANNOT COMMIT AS TO AN EXACT PRICE THOUGH YET TILL I WORK IT THROUGH.

These are full colour whereas the original ones were one colour..... Of course i will make them as cheap as possible, however without compromise on quality :)

The Wall clocks will have to have the specialist frame - However i may be able to order one and i know a couple of people that could probably produce them cheaper and better :)

They also have the ability to display the weather (settable in the GUI).

There seems to be the potential promise of an Android/Iphone app to configure it too..

The DotClk has been a great piece of kit and talking point in our house, too see it's evolution in colour and a desktop version, I'm definitely in.

It's not a Dotclock, or a Rundmd - In theory it will play back any animated Gif with the correct resolution. The final price will include a donation to Charity (Probably NSPCC) for the software, and a contribution to the Animation creator (the software is Charity-ware).

As per usual these would be supplied complete - ready to plug in and switch on :)

Raspberry Pi with a custom RGB LED Matrix Interface Card...

And just for you Neil i could probably build a P10 version (10 x P10 panels!) ;)

I’m very interested in the wall clock size as well, looks awesome in full color

Oki - Thanks everyone!

Sounds like there is some interested out there so i may consider doing a run of each (Seems more wall clocks than desktops at present)... Let me work out the figures and I'll get back with some info :)

Thanks to all again for the prompt responses

Yes would be interested in a wall one

I'd be interested in the wall one, same size as the old one.

My old one occasionally crashed, but always ok after a reboot.... is this normal ?

Nope definately not normal!!! My suggestion would be to re-install the SD card on the Board - IF you drop me a PM to remind me i'll take you through how to do it :)
