Bristol pins

Just finished cleaning and changing the rubbers on Grand Lizard yesterday, also installed NVRAM and recapped the MPU.

Currently in Playback arcade, but is being moved to Shredenhams on Saturday.

Amazing, how is the Shredenhams location working out? Can they do change on site or not? I still need to get down there.

The location is gradually getting better every month that goes by, I just need to put a few Spike 2 games in there to really push it as a pinball location. The older games seem to work well with the general public as I think they are a bit less intimidating and anything retro seems to be very hip at the moment.

Shredenhams seems to be fairly good with supplying coins, but do let me know if that’s not the case when you visit and I might suggest installing a coin machine if there’s enough demand.

Popeye is set up and ready to play at Playback arcade. When I got it our good friend Mr leaky batteries had done a number on the CPU board.

Nice new Rocket WPC 89 installed and NVRAM added for reliability. Also had the LED treatment. Setup to play on £1 for a credit or £2 for 3 credits.

With a Grand Lizard and Gorgar together, I'd have expected Wez to turn up.

I suppose the GL was originally a German allocation machine, hence the lack of an instruction card. The one work owned was, a colleague had added "Don't you wish you'd paid attention in German class?" below the printed text.

The picture of the program chips shows how long this game was in development; I notice that Rom 1 U27 is dated 1983.
