Your Pinball Collections

Well done Dave, that looks very nice. It's what I'd like to aim for eventually, my own space in the garden where I can make as much noise as I like. Not forgetting the fridge or even a small bar.

At the moment we've got a 20ft shipping container with patio doors in the side as a garden room I could take over but it will need insulating before I'd move any pins in. Or the other plan is to move that out and use the 12x24 slab that's on to build something.

Nice space though Dave, like it:clap:

Dave
The pics do not start to show just what beautiful condition your pins are in.
They are immaculate and every time I see them I drool :)
Oh and I got the fridge in the end

Just thinking about this thread and we could copy an idea from Home Leisure, just for fun and no price money involved but have a rate my section. Just for pins related items (not interested in other things that you could find on other groups).

heres a vid of my downstairs workshop at work, will look to do a vid of upstairs on monday and the house

Love it Tony. Didn't you go from zero to about 60 pins in less than 2 years?

I have a big collection myself these days, up to 20 I think now, but only space for half of these so I rotate them too. One in the house, 5 in my garage set up to play, 4 set up in a neighbour's garage. I'm a lucky bugger I know.

How do you keep a shed in the garden warm in the winter? I can imagine if you put a heater in, it would cost a fortune unless you completely insulate the shed? Wouldn't like to leave any pins out in the cold. Can imagine you'd have condensation forming and everything.

Darren, I've not got any pins in my container yet, I'd plan to insulate the outside with sips or by framing it then insulation and Cladding, if I build new then it would have 2 skins with insulation in between. I'd not put a pin outside. The plan is to take over the dining room before I'm told that I need to move them out and then build something.

Pharo, I'd get rid of the pool table and replace it with air hockey, that way it can be played when it's placed against a wall giving more room for the important stuff! If air hockey isn't your thing how about a quality table football (foosball) about the same size as a pin plus the rods. I've got one I may be able to part with.

Good idea about air hockey but I can imagine a few broken fingers or something worse when my mates come round for beer's had a foosball table before the pool table but the wee man was a lot younger then and had just started to run about so there was a few sore heads so was politely told to get rid of it,under the pool table I have a couple of double sockets flush with the floor that I can use if the table goes;)

Cheers Brian

if anyone wants a virtual mockup of their gamesroom, you only have to ask nicely. i quite enjoy doing them, and there's over 200 machines modelled so it doesn't take long. pm me if interested so as not to derail this lovely pinporn picturefest

When a favorite poll is done for this yesr maybe with a forum mail shot maybe we can have a pinball census not only will give a idea of most owned games (presume TAF TZ and HS2 are most common) but also see what rare games are out there. I can be the only one with zac spooky bally vampyre king tut etc

Hi Dan,

Don't know exact number have exchanged a few this year, have this crazy idea of owning every one listed on a spreadsheet I made after I bought the pin books encyclopaedia from sarge, so I have something I enjoy to tinker with when retired :), (also I would like to ideally have some sort of free club so people can enjoy them, but the workings of that are hard because I am busy lots with work, don't like running clubs and not too good at fixing, and so if a problem occurs like the Tom in the vid its outed for another pin :rolleyes:)
I will have 16 at home soon and will vid the main room today, and the cabin and big room shortly,

Your not far behind me Dan, I am dreadful though as I only play 2 at work and the ones in the main room of my house :oops:

Few pics of my arcade.
It's. Bit tight for pics but!
The main line up

have a guess? And how many are on the spreadsheet? It'd make a nice story if you had a mission to own 65, but I'm pretty sure you had that name before you got the book.

I'm gonna come down and see your setup this year (tagging along with @J.C.Rox on his invite as a +1), make an attempt to have a go on every one so it'll have to be a long visit :D

I'm sure it's normal to only play the same one(s) even when there's options, and I know what you mean about retirement tinkering plans - after all, each game deserves pampering. My latest is a cheap laminating machine, and all my stable are getting new custom cards. Then there's always upgrades available to sound, lights, display, flippers, glass, trough, ROM, fancy decals, shakers, toppers, new springs, leg plates, new sleeves and end stops, remote battery, shooter tip, etc etc etc. .... gotta get the manual, flyer, some mods perhaps.....

a man could get obsessed
