This is my first sale ad on this forum. Possibly a few more to come after this.

First one for sale, Indianapolis 500 for £3750

Cabinet and playfield in very good condition except the usual fading.

On Tuesday I will take more pictures with the playfield without the glass, back box and under the playfield. This is what I have for now.

HUO since 2002 except 12 sessions at The Pinball Office where it accumulated 236 plays.

Insert and GI lights changed for COMET LEDs.

Comes with brand new legs, bolts and levellers.

Sparkling clean and waxed playfield.

Runs rock solid, no issues whatsoever, never had to take off the glass to release a stuck ball.

At a certain point I had to change the CPU board with a brand new one as the previous one had acid damage and it started to give out random errors.

Update: my friend Alan that helps me with the repairs, reminded me that this game has the original cpu board (not a replacement one) as we took it out form another WPC game that I have. Beside this, all the caps and bridge rectifiers were changed. So you won’t have any reset issues with this one.

Any questions please ask, and as promised, on Tuesday I will upload more pictures.

Can be viewed, inspected and played at The Pinball Office.

Optional, I have for sale a brand new playfield protector for it.

Martin will be here on Tuesday.

Chris

I don’t think you can call this game HUO. One it’s been in the pinball office - but how do you know over its 30 year life it wasn’t also in an arcade? Have you owned it since new?

irrespective of that / the game looks great and Indy 500 is one of WMS best games.

NeIl.

Hi Neil.

It was kept in the same house since 2002. I must admit that between 1995 and 2002 I don’t know where it was. And I mentioned that it’s been in The Pinball Office for 12 sessions (236 plays).

So yes, the ad isn’t exactly correct. I will correct it.

A great underrated game with a great rule sheet for an earlier game.
However Mine looked a lot nicer as I had my protectors fitted 😝 but hey I know someone should the new owner be tempted. 👍

With your plastics it will definitely look a lot nicer. I would buy them if it would be a keeper.

After 5 days, the best offer that I got was £3600. Best price that I can take for this £3750 without the playfield protector.

Damn, why is there never enough funds when you need it 🤨
Would love this game, great example also, played it many times at the office

Indy is a really fun game I really enjoyed it when it was here.
I would snap the hands off who offered you 3600 considering what one of these sold for a few months back on here

Chris
may be worth pulling it out and taking more photos of the cabinet, apart from the usual fading it really is a tidy machine.

sad to see this one leave.

I almost got the one Jeff at Parallax sold on here at Christmas. Only played it once but really enjoyed it.

It’s so difficult to keep this community pleased :))

I have for this table a £4000 offer from one of the retailers. So all that I wanted to do is trying to keep this table in the community.

After reducing the price with £250 only to help out the community even if this means loosing £250 I’m still getting negative comments unfortunately.

I will leave the add here till next week.

In this £4000 deal with the retailer there is another table Dr Who (lovely example). I will add later today pictures with it, again, just to give everyone a fair chance to buy it.

If nobody wants them, I will still pay the donation for each, just to help a bit more.

Chris

Hats off to you Chris Sadly this seems to be the current trend and I applaud you for trying to keep this in the community.
I myself have recently offered 3k on a a pin which I though was a fair price and the seller agreed However he had already been offered 3250 via HLD/Williams so regardless what We or myself deem to be a fair price we seem to be fighting a losing battle in the current market.
BTW I don’t blame any seller getting what they can as they now not easily replaced.
The blame lies squarely with current supply and demand and the influx of new people to our hobby.
In fact I have 2 lads coming tonite to play pinball for the 1st time ever both of which collect Jukeboxes so I can see in advance where they will be heading next.

I was only poking fun because you offered me a 6 grand Creech the other day, among other games and are now making out like you're some sort of pinball philanthropist. I Understand the issue, HLD or the Games Room Company have customers with deep pockets and little sense. Kind of a clash of hobbyist dorks like us and wealthy casuals who like the idea of a pinball machine. This has always been there since I got involved with pinball but it's got markedly more pronounced in recent times.

I’ve edited this message. This is the short version.

I was only poking fun because you offered me a 6 grand Creech the other day.

It wasn’t quite like you put it. You were the one to offer a JP2. You sent me a PM, not me.
My CFTBL has a buyer since December for 6K (he is a collector by the way not a reseller). Hence me asking 6k in a trade. I’m not selling it as I’m sure that I won’t ever find another one so nice below 6K. I’m only willing to let it go for something that’s on my wish list

Scared to know what price a retailer will put it up for if they are paying 4k for ahhhhh hehe :)
Hopefully stays in the community.

Poor bastard :( shame you can't sell direct, cut out the middle man and VAT.
There are people with so much money that cost will be insignificant!
Then there are people with so much money that they wouldn’t pay over the top as well, not naming anyone😂

Sell to whoever you want and whatever price you want, it’s dog eat dog out there!

First of all I would like to apologise about this post to everyone. @huggers keeps on “poking” me.

Well, @huggers, interesting statement again. I feel that it’s time to put a stop to this.

Your last three messages were filled with sarcastic “jokes” against me.

Let’s see now. You mentioned something about being a pinball philanthropist. I’ve never considered that I’m a philanthropist, never even thought about it.

Beside the £250 discount for Indy 500 I’m doing something else for the community.

As far as I know since December I’ve shared with the community a part of my Pinball collection once a week. To be more precise, 32 clean and working machines (no rubbish titles or cheap ones between them). This endeavour is costing me £3000/month in rent, plus the free car park that I offer to everyone, plus electricity etc.
What I got in return during December? £260. And yes, all of them were donated to charity…

And by the way, I’m still doing it. Same monthly expenses… Already 5 months and counting. But beside the expenses, we have to consider the time needed to service the 32 machines and keep them clean. I’m lucky enough to have two friends, Alan and Alfie, helping me with the maintenance. Beside this my Saturday being away from home to be able to keep it open. So in the end, beside the expenses between us, we are spending around 30-50h/week (depending on the week). And yes, all this for the pinball community. I could save this time and spend it somewhere else and instead of paying rent and car parks I would be able to buy each month a new pin and add it to my collection.

And in the end, this post is here only because you like to joke. I never had any problems on this forum with anyone but for the last 2 weeks you are directing your negativity towards me. From now on please unload your negative thoughts elsewhere, as I had enough.

This being said, can you tell me please what have you done for the community? As I see you are a very good keyboard warrior, but I’m wondering other than typing have you done something for the pinball community in the last 6 months? Something that any one of us can benefit from? Something that bring value to everyone?

You asked, I’ve replied, now it’s your time to shine.

I’m all ears!
