Not in that state for 2K! It is an epic game otherwise.

And to think poopeye was a £500 machine not that long ago

Popeye was 500 back around 2010 ....so if you call 9 years 'not that long ago ' then you're right.

As for 'Poopeye' .... .... everytime

Here is my comprehensive argument for why Popeye is a seriously under rated machine worthy of your attention. Just in case anyone hasn't yet read it , digested it, memorized it .... which I seriously doubt

Still is :p,
Just cause it sells for more doesn't mean it's worth more.
£2.5k Dreamland, but it wouldn't surprise me if someone bought it for that and regretted it after reading how good it was from a certain spinage eating soldier of fortune calls GrizZ.

Plenty of Popeye pin fans out there :thumbs:Scores a perfectly respectable 7.4 over on ipdb despite all the haters :D I just sent a spare part to a guy in Oz today.

Toot toot.

Who picked up the Dirty Harry off eBay?
Anyone from here?
Hi Yes I was very lucky to speak to the chap who had it on whatapp so I could see the machine and was a sad story his brother bought it 8 years ago with a few others from a private collector who has bought it New but he has sadly died of lung cancer not that long ago so he wanted to move it on. Now we have all seen machine adverts that say Huo and they are not. I was very lucky to say after the hardest machine to get out, taking a door off, a drain pipe, a gate, it was in my car coming home. It came with all manuals and paperwork in it’s brown bag. The spare slings which are stapled where there. Gaz and I had a good go on it last night, only two bits of corrosion, a few marks on the face of the back box but will black them, flipper Rubbers and just in case I put in some new battery’s. A small mark to the side of the back box. ( which I sadly did getting down the bloody tight corridor but lucky a black pen sorted it ) legs needs a little tlc but will come up new. After a little clean this must best one of the nicest original Dirtys Harry’s About, nothing been touched, no leds, not been touched. Definitely HUO and lucky to be the 3rd owner. A few pics.

What a fantastic find. It is in great shape. That gobble hole shows how little use it has had

If ever you move it on, I would be very interested.

Thanks mate but Gaz wants it if I sell it. A question Spoke to the old owner as it came with a coin mech and counter. The counter says 000603 on it. It said they use to use coins until they found out it could be put on free play. Did these come with me ch and counter as standard back in 1994?

That's a great price for such a nice example!

I love my DH and it has had a LOT of plays in the last 24 years (several previous owners on here as well as, presumably, in an arcade originally) but the gobble hole is really good on mine too.

Maybe it's because it's round so the ball doesn't fall over one tiny piece of edge, as it does on straight-edged holes?

Or did Williams just use really good plywood.... :p

Some models of this era of Williams games did come with coin counters. I think that on roadshow for example you have to choose whether to have the knocker working or the coin counter. You can't have both !

Yes, a coin counter was factory fitted at the time. Games with the Wpc and Wpc-S boards (which this one is) drove the meter using the circuit meant for the replay knocker, with a wiring and software menu adjustment needed to use the knocker instead. The Wpc 95 board-set had a dedicated meter drive
