Thanks Neil, appreciate the kind words.Amazing thread. I always feel I'm interrupting by commenting, so I've held off, until now.
Fabulous work, real attention to detail. Mammoth undertaking and superbly pulled off.
It looks so good and almost across the line. Really looking forward to the final photos.
Thanks for taking the time to share.

Dude, those mirror blades are going to scratch up any time you need to lift the playfield. Have you considered these?

I wouldn’t say CPR are crap at all, this hobby would be far worse off without them.Classic example of CPR crap.
The hole for the ball guide was completely missing. So I had to trace, drill a tiny pilot, burr the hole wider. Drill a wider hole, burr that and repeat till I'm confident enough putting the wire guide won't rip the artwork in the most obvious place!

Without CPR a lot of machines would not be able to be restored and the tiny little errors you moan about are nothing compared to having to manufacture your own new pf to the standard they do.
Your opinion comes across very entitled to me (my opinion lol…) be a little more appreciative of what parts are out there and the amount of work that goes into making them. I much rather have to do a little bit of re-work then not have the option at all.
Since you askedyes I have swapped out a pf long before you did
you can read about it here. https://www.pinballinfo.com/community/threads/earthshaker-project.41848/ from memory I also had a few CPR issues, but appreciated I even had a new pf to use as without one I wouldn’t of bothered.
No axe, just difference of opinion. I’m not saying they are perfect just pinball restorers would be worse off without them. For the money the playfield costs they shouldn't have sloppy clear coat where you need to sand the playfield down on the edges just to fit it into the cab due to the giant blobs of clear coat left all over. It's easy to ignore poor work when there's no other option but it shouldn't be ignored just because we should be happy for what we can get.
As usual you always seem to have an axe to grind with me and I'm pretty bored of it.
Go bother someone else.
