Hit some issues before I could sign this one off as done.
The ball gate assembly turned out to have a dead coil. Someone had decided to put a 10 amp fuse instead of the spec'd 3 amp fuse...
Fun times happened with the fliptronics board as a result
Thankfully Pinball Heaven stocked the replacement gate assembly and it arrived today.
I set about replacing the assembly and voila one working ball gate.
Another issue I had was with the diverter. It kept sticking.
Turns out the spring has been hacked and was lodging the plunger half the time.
I cut the badly bent spring and reformed it. It seems to have resolved the issue.
Last few elements were just alignment and adjustments.
The ramps being thicker needed additional washers to allow for better clearance.
Last issue was with balls getting stuck in the trough, turned out the new pinballs from pinsound being chrome balls magnetised very quickly. I switched them out for Polaris balls. Problem solved.
Cut it down to the wire but everythings working.
