The dirt stuck on rubbers is generally dirty rubber, not much else bonds to it. So in short, you can't clean rubbers you are just adding a chemical that will keep degrading the rubber until it breaks. Much like using a wetwipe to clean a laptop and then a month later you wonder why the rubber keys are deforming.
