Walking dead remastered

Was expecting the remaster to be redone based on the comic book, as that would've looked awesome and I'd imagine could've gotten away with as gory animations as they liked?
Wonder if it had anything to do with, IIRC the fallout between Kirkman and the original artist? (though I could be misremembering, wasn't there a bit of a fall out with the original main artist Tony Moore? He drew like the first 6 issues, maybe more, but then there was a business disagreement? I do remember the artwork going right down hill?)
More likely would've been too much work to an image the comics artwork well, but most likely is how popular the TV was and that they now seem to have the rights to use call outs from the show. With the LCD screen, clips from the show would've been good, but some too gory to have on site and pain to have a family mode setting.
Having said that, the original, especially with a colour dmd setting had prob the best animations on any SAM game (undecided right now re; if the redone animations look better - defo prefer the original extra ball animation I know that. Had more charm)
Agree with most re; the dodgy cab art, but drift in and out of thinking it looks o.k (pics of photoshop doctored re-colouring looks better though)
The original had awesome lighting at times, so am looking forward to see how well the expression lighting is integrated - could be brilliant.
Although I haven't had a chance yet to fully dive in to the new stuff on Metallica remastered (yes..still waiting for mine), if they can put some decent additions to the code in, could be fantastic, as for me, the original is one of the best games ever once you get in to it and understand how to go about things.
Well walker jiggling about a bit more is neither here nor there for me; was fine how it was :-) zombie heads in the barn etc look a bit better, but maybe I'm imagining that. Would would be an improvement and likely is in there, is better sensors for hits on the barn, as sometimes it felt like you really had to get a solid shot in for it to register and that was annoying.
Have prob integrated some ball saves to crappy drains too, which will make the game less frustrating at times.
Hope there'll be one at EAG in January to play, although would be able to play it in the dark to assess properly.
If I still had my premium, from what I've seen so far, the remaster wouldn't prompt me to sell and upgrade, but if it's your favourite game, could totally understand wanting to get one.
From my experience selling o.g Metallica premium to get the remaster, the additional cost does sting a bit (especially when you are left with no game to play whilst waiting for the new one- for 4 months and counting...first world problems an'that...) , although avoiding going straight from OG to remaster does soften the blow a bit.

Interesting actually and something I never considered given how good BKSOR, JP2 etc was and that most have assets to fall back on, there’s could be a time when that quality declines….

Was interesting to hear John Borg talking about how he's tweaked the geometry a little to improve some of the shots, changed the Prison/Well mechs to improve registering hits and also added more callouts to the original game code.

Gameplay was all original code though and It seemed like they don't actually know where they are going with the new version code which is a bit odd, given the game is out.

They did reference an 'auto' shot maker on the crossbow, which will no doubt launch balls into posts for you totally automatically!

The original is a great game, tough, but play better. Will be interesting to see how this plays. The original is one of my faves, and Horde is awesome. Would love it if they treat it like Met R and add some extra content, not just a big screen with animations.

I think it looks pretty good but the letterbox boarders of the DMD onto the LCD are proper lazy imo.

Its Fugly, and no video assets?

Could also have been themed with the comic book artwork instead.

Pretty much what @Fantazia2

Artwork is terrible - Too bright, too cut and paste... They nailed Metallica then mess this royally up

This was a great chance to incorporate later seasons into the game and also use video assets but they are hardly using the bigger scene makes you think they haven't fully realised and developed the use of the bigger scene! JJP nail video and sound assets and the use of a bigger scene

The original was a masterpiece and tbh do we really need to remaster them unless adding updated assets and videos...

If they did LOTR or GB the only reason to buy is for those things alone

Played this at DPO, art was even worse in person than in the pictures I’d seen

It did play well and better than other premiums I’d played before, no drains from the pops and the left ramp was butter smooth like the pro version, no nobbly bobbly like the original premium

Preferred the original DMD animations to the new ones and obviously Clelands sound mod wasn’t on it, for me that makes a big difference

AI zombies too I'd warrant.

I don’t like the spike 3 cabinet redesign. Being able to see holes or cover up plastics looks cheap. It’s fine if it’s inexpensive ikea furniture but these machines aren’t cheap.

I also prefer the look of the backbox on spike 2 personally.

I don’t know enough about materials to comment on the change in those but some people aren’t happy about that either.

Has there been any change on the size of the speakers with the new larger screen?

Is there still enough roof for the 5.25" LE speakers they used in the past?

How do the front and side panel not line up straight like that? Doesn't that make the whole side look off?

I thought that but it looks like there is black trim along the edge, which is rounded off at the front edge. Just make it look like its not aligned.
