Was expecting the remaster to be redone based on the comic book, as that would've looked awesome and I'd imagine could've gotten away with as gory animations as they liked?
Wonder if it had anything to do with, IIRC the fallout between Kirkman and the original artist? (though I could be misremembering, wasn't there a bit of a fall out with the original main artist Tony Moore? He drew like the first 6 issues, maybe more, but then there was a business disagreement? I do remember the artwork going right down hill?)
More likely would've been too much work to an image the comics artwork well, but most likely is how popular the TV was and that they now seem to have the rights to use call outs from the show. With the LCD screen, clips from the show would've been good, but some too gory to have on site and pain to have a family mode setting.
Having said that, the original, especially with a colour dmd setting had prob the best animations on any SAM game (undecided right now re; if the redone animations look better - defo prefer the original extra ball animation I know that. Had more charm)
Agree with most re; the dodgy cab art, but drift in and out of thinking it looks o.k (pics of photoshop doctored re-colouring looks better though)
The original had awesome lighting at times, so am looking forward to see how well the expression lighting is integrated - could be brilliant.
Although I haven't had a chance yet to fully dive in to the new stuff on Metallica remastered (yes..still waiting for mine), if they can put some decent additions to the code in, could be fantastic, as for me, the original is one of the best games ever once you get in to it and understand how to go about things.
Well walker jiggling about a bit more is neither here nor there for me; was fine how it was

zombie heads in the barn etc look a bit better, but maybe I'm imagining that. Would would be an improvement and likely is in there, is better sensors for hits on the barn, as sometimes it felt like you really had to get a solid shot in for it to register and that was annoying.
Have prob integrated some ball saves to crappy drains too, which will make the game less frustrating at times.
Hope there'll be one at EAG in January to play, although would be able to play it in the dark to assess properly.
If I still had my premium, from what I've seen so far, the remaster wouldn't prompt me to sell and upgrade, but if it's your favourite game, could totally understand wanting to get one.
From my experience selling o.g Metallica premium to get the remaster, the additional cost does sting a bit (especially when you are left with no game to play whilst waiting for the new one- for 4 months and counting...first world problems an'that...) , although avoiding going straight from OG to remaster does soften the blow a bit.
