UKPINFEST 2025 MACHINE DONATION THREAD

Andy . . . you are a thoroughly lovely chap mate and of course you wouldn't know about that stuff.

@David . . . It's cool mate, like I said, they are welcome to do whatever they want with the games. But Shaun is working hard and trying new things to generate a bit of extra prize money for this years classics which should hopefully be the best ever.

Ultimately though, the best player over the two days will win the classics whether Pulp is in it or not so I don't think it has any bearing on that. I would suggest that it's Dolly which would throw more of a spanner in the works because that will kick anyone's **** at any given time irrespective of how skilled they are.

Just to be clear, I only refrain from entering the competitions because I like to get pi$$ed at pinfest but I might give the classics a pop and film my attempts.
Love Dolly, absolutely batters me though. I'll be there with my mate Rob again, and our mission is also to get hammered. See you there Kris

Forum lurker here who did my first Pinfest last year... it was brilliant, friendly and welcoming ESPECIALLY for Newbies to the hobby / fun. A consumer last year and only on the standard package we enjoyed it so much we bought VIP this year and 100% will be entering the tournaments (open and classic) because we had so much damn fun in the Open and (despite the fact we had zero clue how it all worked) the people running the open tournament were brilliant. Anyone saying it's bad/S*&te is 100% wrong! (In my opinion, obviously) Keep doing it! the changes I've seen posted about are great ideas from what I've seen.

Hopefuly next year I'll be in the position to be able to bring a machine or two (turns out this pinball thing is a bit addictive once you get going)... but until then i fully intend to keep spreading the word on how good it was!

Whoa . . . . hold those melons.

I wasn't trying to ignite a row.

For the record, I did not say that Neil had posted anything about me donating Pulp and to the best of my knowledge he hasn't. So hopefully that wraps that up.

Myself and Neil have had our differences in the past and he's made it clear he doesn't like Spencer and has been highly critical of my YouTube channel in the. BUT . . . . I am certainly not claiming he was the one calling me being an idiot for donating PF.

Pinfest has become far too fragmented as it is without any extra nonsense. However, there are a number of people who have been completely negative about Pinfest and sl@@ed it off repeatedly. People need to understand that everything get's shared around in what is a very small community.

Phil has had a really tough couple of years and only wants the best, everyone is just trying to put on a show and it's the same for Shaun who is getting nothing out of organising the classics.

Fair play to everyone who organises and donates because personally I wouldn't bother, precisely for reasons such as this.

Well said mate

Not cool @cooldan and @Arv jumping on Neil as per usual when it wasn't even him

How do you know it wasn't him. I supposed this similarly worded message is someone else?

and that's AFTER editing, and not including the rude one about Phil, and just above someone else said there is another screenshot using the term '$hitfest'.
so Mr Kaufmanised i don't understand why you feel the need to defend the indefensible.
i made no pretence of the fact i can't stand the bloke, but will happily change my opinion if he stops acting in the way he continues to do.

now lets get back to discussing machines donated to the show?

Well im partly wishing I had never expressed my opinion to Alan's post after all this, but at least all the talk seems to have got some more donations come in through the day

Well here’s my provisional named games to bring…..
Lady luck
Gorgar
Road kings
Jet spin
…… possibly Bally kiss if can get my act together and get it running!
Hi Dave - ate you still okay to donate one or two for the ladies ? Do not want you to get jostled again 😀 by the ladies 😀

Stallball...

I don't want to cause any issues (it seems even innocuous comments can open cans of worms these days, sadly), and the following is purely my observation/feedback having just got back from the EPC in Austria, so thought I'd share my thoughts on it.

They held a fun stallball type event there on Labyrinth by Barrels of Fun, called BarrelBall.

There was a code version used, which is specifically set up for stallball, and it worked really well.

Basically a bunch of shots were highlighted in white, with one shot lit red. If you hit the red shot, or drained, the video screen lit up red with "Eliminated", and if you hit a white shot, the screen went blue indicating a successful shot. It was therefore really clear when you were out, or when you'd been successful and rejoined the end of the queue.

I've nothing against Twilight Zone, which I understand is the proposed machine for the stallball comp, and certainly don't want to kick off any controversy, but thought I'd just post the above as a positive contribution in case people weren't aware of this option on Labyrinth. I don't even know if there will be a Labyrinth at Pinfest, and stallball is always a fun part of Pinfest, regardless of what machine it is played on.

Cheers,

Conrad.

P.S. The EPC was absolutely brilliant, held in a massive venue (normally an ice-rink) in the small town of Vocklabruck, with loads of competition, 70 or so free-play machines including many unusual ones, and new machines including 3 x King Kong, Dune, Alice in Wonderland etc, good catering/beers, and even in the competitions, a really friendly atmosphere. Stefan Riedler and his team did an awesome job organising and running it. :) 👍

The original post says it will be barrel ball on Labyrinth? Unless that’s changing…

Jason Catrine organised a game of Barrel ball on his labyrinth for the ( recently passed ) John Bud trophy . It was great fun and won by Jon Meggat . I was eliminated on my first shot - as usual 😀

My tbc are likely to be
Blackwater100
Rocky & bullwinkle
And to add fuel to the fire 🔥
Pulp fiction 🫣

All my other machines are still farmed out across the land.

I will also hopefully bring an em basket ball game for a bit of bar comp tomfoolery.

Sit nice at pinfest or yours?

I actually meant at pinfest but if I win a comp or sell something I might be tempted if its up for grabs.
I meant with them both being bike theme and odd balls from similar era.
Should we not put them either side of Devil riders... oh wait a minute 🤐
