Today I worked on......

With another machine coming in soon I needed to get an outstanding job done, METr plastic protectors and Titan rubber swap. Took me a while over yesterday and today but worth it, I think they look amazing. Thanks @Colywobbles for the great work as usual, very lucky to have you doing these for us. I won't tell you how long I spent looking for one plastic just to realise the protector was a keyring 😂

Bought this coin door last week off eBay IMG_2426.webp
A quick clean and strip down , removed all excess over paint using 2k thinners followed by a light sand with a dust spray of etch primer and a coat of satin black .

Only took 10+ years to fit the correct door on Diner 🫣

Shooter lane kickout protector, side art, Col's Plastic Protectors™, instruction cards and glow in the dark Titan rubbers added this morning. It makes an already good looking game look even better, it really pops now.

And I always like to add a Funko Pop keyring to a new Pin.

The rubbers on the right hand side were an absolute pain to fit, and I'm not even attempting a couple at the back, you can't really see them anyway.

Flipper gap was a non-issue and would not put me off owning one at some point.

I posted the above in 2016 and stand by it. If the gap wasn't talked about so much I'm not sure I'd even notice it being larger than standard. Now, when I look at the gap on Ghostbusters, then walk over to Pulp Fiction, the gap on Pulp Fiction looks miniscule, so there's obviously quite a difference.

Highly unlikely I'll get the centre post mod, but will see if I feel the same after a lot more plays.

Gorgar flippers we're feeling a bit tired, so rather than replace linkage, go full ham and replace crappy system 7 mechs entirely with some mechs from a system 11 (which means changing the coils too). Slaps good now and dead bounces like a dream. Just a bit of a faff working out where to bolt the mechs haha. Fun fun 😊

Cheers to @David_Vi for the tip. Solid upgrade to playability.

This was half way through the process. Clickety clickety goodness. I've left it at then pinball office if anyone wants a go. Needs some slightly longer coil stops to make it harder to trap, but it's fun 💪. David's flash next to it in the line has the same mod.

Well that’s Iron Maiden & Metallica gone….

…..into Pin Room #2!!
Suggested to me on Sunday night, laminate removed and skirting painted on Monday, carpet fitted and pins moved today 😂, lounge to dining room migration means room for 1 more (making it 6 🎉)

I am sure who ever installed these originally used superglue, but managed in the end to get them off. Thankfully the other side wasn’t as bad

AIQ pro and FF prem arrived during the week. FF had no mods at all so I've added some I like. Cabinet expression lights, Col's plastic protectors, upgraded speakers, flipper fans, titan rubbers, coil stops and sleeves replaced and some other things I can't remember now. Ready to play!

Sod it. Went with 3 in the end. One in the trough, one behind the targets, and one under the ramp. Adds a bit of atmosphere to the apron area. Without distracting from the main flippers I think 🤔

So last night we fixed @Mooseman Maidens upper left flipper.
Yet again the end stop getting loose due to their crap riveting. Easy to fix, but god how many of those have happened over the years. ****e parts
